I thought long and hard about the 1290SA, just don't have the dealer support around here.
I can't afford the jackets and pants to buy an adventure style bike. Klim, Tourtech and BMW with their $1,500+ jackets and $500 and up for pants. I got back into bikes after about a 25 year hiatus. Things have changed. Bottom of the barrel stuff now cost what premium stuff did back in the day. Don't get me wrong I have good gear, Sidi boots, Kevlar jeans and jacket, leather jacket and *gasp* Icon carbon fiber Variant helmet, it just fits and the optics.

A new 1290 Duke maybe next after a 500 or 525 EXC.

The old boy next door apparently decided to stop paying the guy who plows them & use the snowblower. He was out shoveling wet stuff by the road the other day & I pulled up & cleared it in 2 swipes.

I don't run a charity, for the most part. I get paid for my time & the wear & tear.

Been kind of a slow Winter so far. Only had to plow a few times & all of my different places I take care of.

Not much white stuff here in CT, we've been getting snow followed by rain.. Still haven't tried my snowshoes yet and I got my daughter and grandson a pair too. Thought we'd have a snowshoe train going in the reservoir trail but it's only a slush trail today [emoji21]
