Showing Vehicle Speed on the Nav Screen

I do agree it would be nice if Google Navigation would show whatever the posted speed limit is for the road currently being driven on. There are many roads out there that do not have speed limits posted. Or freeways/highways that you merge onto and do not see a speed limit sign for many many miles. This can be dangerous during traveling.

Hi there!

I am working on app that actually shows current speed. For now, there is only threshold system of speeding alerts, but I am working on better solution. I hope it will work. If you are interested, please visit these forums with Android Market link:

tracking my speed too but I haven't bothered looking into it yet. I was also wondering if it could track distance. . I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can."
