So you're saying technology in general is evil?Just strange that certain posters spend so much time on an Android site, claim to own Android phones, and defend the evil fruit company to the death at every turn.

They do have a huge monopoly...80 percent.
I have a buddy back home that spent some time in IT for a while, though he's not quite as tech-nerdy as I am. I went home for a visit a few years ago with my (now) wife and he was asking me when I was going to switch to an iPhone. Even SHE laughed at him.Is that because they make the others buy their products, or because their products appeal to others?
Android doesn't appeal to everyone, I love it for many reasons, especially the ability to make it my way, so many just want easy, Apple has that market, Android doesn't.
If and when I show others my phone, as I'm using it I gave up on trying to show others advantages a long time ago, I lose them on the home screen when they see 1 app icon that has been resized and centered with a custom photo instead of default icon look and dock with all custom photos on in place of default ones. By the time I scroll a dock to get to another app in another dock they've already gone cross eyed. And yet I find ios far too complicated in its simplicity. A co-worker showed me his Apple watch. Too small but I didn't say anything. He's got the sport model and it looked like an Armitron watch to me but I again said nothing. Then he started showing me what it'll do. Tap, wait. Tap again, wait again. Then he made a phone call and it turned his phone to speakerphone and went from there. All I could think of to say was that's nice but my old eyes would need that zoom feature on the side knob for everything. I like that feature best.I have a buddy back home that spent some time in IT for a while, though he's not quite as tech-nerdy as I am. But you're right. It's all about personal preference. Some people want simple. I'm (obviously) with you guys who like to customize and make it my own.
I tried an iPhone 4 or 4s years back when it was the new one. Hated it. Took it back to vzw after a few days. I missed my widgets and other customization options. I tried. I paid for some apps that were similar to ones I used all the time on android. I just didn't like it.
I do like to try and convert people, but only because I enjoy android so much. I always tell people that ask me questions about their iProducts that "I don't use these things. I can probably figure it out, but I'd be able to help you much quicker if it was android."
I love all technology. I don't have to own it to appreciate what Apple brings to the industry.
I don't understand fanboisim at all. People rooting for an American company to fail? Really? So they can gloat and say "ahahahaha, I told you Android was better!!!"
Apple makes good products. They just aren't for me.
As I said earlier, I'd probably hate Android if they had a huge monopoly on the market.
FTR, I hated Apphole long before Android.
The story of Apple right now is the iPhone in China - Quartz
I'm also going to bet that 80% worldwide lead is shrinking.
There sure is a bit of snobbery that way.Yep, that's one of the reasons they do as well as they do. People seem to think it's a "status symbol".
