Sourcery 2.2 - Full Version

for those of you having a hard time finding your apps have you checked the maturity level setting in your market since flashing to sourcery?

im back

had a great vacation just got home a bit ago back to work tommmorow :(
the most probable problem with the market is the keys used for 2.2.2
look at a build prop from 2.2.1 and change those keys in the buildprop for 2.2.2 sourcery.

Sourcery used the correct keys for 2.2.2 but it appears that the market and or apps didnt update with the keys as they should have for all apps.

so if you change the keys in the build prop to match the 2.2.1 keys you should be fine. it will not affect the rom at all.

Yes I have, actually. Just as an example, I looked for the Kelley Blue Book app before and after discovering the maturity content filter setting, and wasn't able to come up with it either time. Thanks for the tip, though; it's very easy to overlook unless one is searching for it.

The market thing aside, Sourcery is still the best D1 rom, in my opinion. I tried Liquid at first, but that bootlooped on me. Then I tried ROM manager, and couldn't get CWM to go into recovery mode if my life depended on it. Switched to RZRecovery (mainly for not having to have my ROMs named "update.zip" in order to install them) and Sourcery, and have been mostly happy since.Until I get a new phone, this ROM is the only one I plan on using.

Haven't seen this posted yet so just wanted to say-New market runs smooth--perhaps even snappier under sourcery
Download here in case you missed it... http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...-now-new-look-android-market-coming-soon.html

Instructions in case needed (worked for me)
Download file and in Win7, file may download as a .zip file that you will need to rename the extension name to .APK

Place on sd card gain full permission (Wizardry mode in sourcery) then look in root folder /System/app and change vending.apk to vending1.apk rather than deleting it incase install fails and then install new apk as normal

Excited to try out the new market!

Quick question. What are the animations when you first flash 2.2 with the stock theme? I thought it was 88 animations but when I flashed that on top of the new honeycomb theme the transitions between windows didn't look the same as I remember...

They don't work with the new honeycomb theme. It messed mine up and I had to do a restore. They said they are working on it. There were like 5 different animations, but 88 was my favorite.

Good to know, I flashed the stock back over after the 88, and it looks normal again.

Well, I'm back on board with Sourcery. I was giving PE4.2 a try and this just seems to be the most friendly Froyo rom for my phone.

Only gripe is that messed up Answer slider for the Galaxy S theme. Anyone kind enough to fix that for me? Or is there a way I can correct it myself like switching out the Phone.apk or something? :(

So here's a new problem. Starting today, my phone says that I have no network connection. I've tried cycling the phone several times, even pulled the battery out, and nothing helps. I'm up-to-date on my bill, in an area where I normally get full bars on 3G, and haven't done anything physically to the phone. Also, I know it's not Sourcery because I recently rolled back to a stock root; just posting in here in the hopes of resolving the issue as soon as possible.

I would try toggling airplane mode on/off and dialing *228.

Airplane mode grays out immediately after toggling on and won't let me toggle it off without restarting the phone. Regardless of what I dial, it gives me the message "Mobile network not available" as soon as I hit the send key.

I just flashed Sourcery back on in the hopes that that would fix it, but it's still doing the same thing. The only other idea I have is flashing a recovery from before the problem occurred, but I'm doubful that'll have any effect.

You could SBF back to stock, re-root, and either try to install Sourcery fresh again or restore your backup. I know it doesn't sound appealing. It's probably more of a last resort, but it's always an option.

Yeah, I tried that...even sbf'ed to pre-root, and still couldn't get it to connect to the network. Took it in to my local verizon store, and the guy helping me sounded like he knew what he was talking about and had dealt with the same problem before, and even he couldn't fix it. Ended up getting a new phone instead, but I think I'll keep my D1 around with Sourcery on to toy with. But thanks for trying to help :) Glad to know I can count on my fellow Sourcery crowd to help me in a pinch.
