Speaker Phone.. No one can hear me!

I used to have this issue about 3/4 of the time while I was using 2.01. Since rooting and running 2.1, I have not experienced this problem once.

I had the speaker phone problem too. It seemed like the mute button was activated the same time I activated the speaker button. I did a reboot and the problem was resolved. BTW...You don't lose anything (apps) doing a reboot.

I got similar problems. The caller on the other end of the phone from time to time say that my voice sounds muffled or i sound far away. I do have a cover for my phone, so I am wondering if it is preventing sound entering my mic.

On my 2nd Droid X and both phones did this. Everyone says I sounded muffled on both phones. BUT when I put it on speaker phone they say I am clear. Doesnt the phone use the same Mic to pick up my voice for regular use and for speaker?
