How does squidly get such high benchmark scores? But on others that perform equally as well, don't get as high. The linpacks are the same too.

I get 1550 to 1600 on opencore so there is a significant jump in quadrant,but like I've mentioned in the past don't let that decide your rom its all about the eay it performs day to day. If it isn't stable its useless.

^ too true on that one... i must have a lazy processor since i can get the oc to go up to 1.45, but it crashes after about 10 mins of just sitting idle
and i have to restart the phone (which reverts back to 1ghz).

Mine is stable to 1.42 only anything higher during games and flash videos it crashes,so that isn't uncommon.

Good to know. That would be why you have the built in overclocking I would assume.

For some reason the data only works with wifi. Anyone else get this?

Nevermind. I just went to terminal emulator and ran fixperm, apps2sd (all going to card), and emailblur remove and the phone is back to its old self

FYI - the fix works but the recordings (and playback) are glitchy on both the phone and the computer when I play it back. IS it possible to use just the standard video player (or portocol or whatever it might be called) rather than stagefright? Glitchy birthday recordings are not gonna sit well with my wife.

So for the technologically challenged ... what do I do with this?

No worries I do it for the love,the way it should be.Ok here is the video fix for you guys who are having trouble install through clockwork mount system and its all better and after this I believe Im pretty much bug free yay!!!.I am also updating the rom with the fix from here on out also I am building a full blur rom so you can choose stock squidly or full blur at download.Here is the fix squidly2.3.20videofix.zip

On the build.prop using root explorer use text editor and where it says stsgefright (there will be 5 of them) change them from true to false and reboot.I mainly did stagefright for the speed I personally stream alot and it seems to perform a little better.my next release will have a script to do it.

Incidentally, just tried hapticless and freaking LOVE IT. dancedroid. I bet that will add to my battery life too. And a note to the doubters... the unlock screen is now super fast!!!

Will post in either thread so others will realize the value of a hapticless unlock screen.

Thanks. Interesting stuff in that file. I found only 4 references to stagefright so am assuming your reference to 5 was a typo. Anyhoo, I just rebooted and it's a winner, making this ROM, which I've been using for a full week and a half now (hehe), a keeper.

Incidentally, somewhere along the way, I noticed I lost the ability to assign custom ringtones to contacts. It's not a real issue for me, because few people call me (which is how I like it) but just wondering if this is my issue or a system issue.

Well I found the problem with video that is fixed now, but if you haven't received the ota update yet I would recommend the full sbf of 2.3.20 to get the baseband and kernel update.
