Downloading the update now, where would I find it to upload it? Anybody know?

edit: I found it, it's 221MB, I will upload it somewhere

I just tried this, didn't work. After clicking the "Check for updates" button, it says "Motorola Account required" and asks me to "Setup Now" or "Cancel". "Setup Now" puts me into an infinite wait of "Communicating with server".

Thats what its said to me i hit setup now and waited a few minutes and downloaded the update patience someone else downloading it now, congrats my friend you should enjoy make sure your phone is charged atleast halfway. Its downloads as an official update after your hit setup now, pops up like official update and says install now

I uninstalled cheesecake, cleared cache, then reinstalled and selected the server again (did not click "create proper files" the second time) and got to the "Checking for available update" screen after clicking "Setup now" but then it says "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later."

EDIT: I tried it again and it found the update!! Downloading it now. I will upload it to my dropbox when the download is finished and post it here

Since ive downloaded it and running it on my phone now dont i have the update.zip file stored somewhere it saved it to install it so where do i find it to upload.

According to this, it should be located in your /cache folder...BUT I think it may delete once installed, I'm not sure.

Well, in my saga of cheesecake and the Bionic, 5.9.905 was the latest available - I honestly think they gave up ICS development on this phone. I mean, where the f*** is is? Now I am (luckily so far so good) FXZing back to .902; because I want to be on the update path if and when ICS ever really does come out for this redheaded stepchild of a phone. It's almost the exact same hardware as the RAZR and D4 but seems to be being ignored.

lol f*** no why would i do that im running blur ics no problem except the computer doesnt recognise as adb, and i no longer have root and dont know how to reroot yet and foxfi isnt working for me. Ill take a pic with my wifes razr and try to upload.

I'm downloading the update right now. Maybe I can still keep root afterwards with voodoo ota rootkeeper. I'll post later once the download finishes.

Make sure USB debugging is enabled, a new OS would reset that option to "off". I'll bet that's the only reason ADB isn't working.

I downloaded this earlier today but was afraid to flash a unknown. It will be in the cache when your done downloading. I would upload but my ip is slow here. Traveling and the hotel wifi is super slow. Really interested in if you can keep root or reroot. If you move it out you will keep getting the prompt to install. Boot to recovery and wipe the cache to get it to quit.

Maybe you need to go into device manager, and if an unknown device shows up, re install the ADB driver. Or, uninstall the ADB device and see if it redetects it. They could have changed things just enough that the driver needs to be reinstalled.
