Stock Motoblur ICS for droid4

jsnweitzel said:
I downloaded this earlier today but was afraid to flash a unknown. It will be in the cache when your done downloading. I would upload but my ip is slow here. Traveling and the hotel wifi is super slow. Really interested in if you can keep root or reroot. If you move it out you will keep getting the prompt to install. Boot to recovery and wipe the cache to get it to quit.

It appears as an official update, says download, then says install now or later just like when the last droid 4 update came out but its ics.

If someone could upload and share with our devs our ics roms would most likely benefit greatly.

Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk

Only bad thing is my phone says root granted but then fails, and the computer wont work as adb with windows so i cant do a system dump and i already updated before i could try and copy the update.zip from cache

I'm uploading the file to my dropbox now. Sit tight for about 30 minutes and I will post the link as soon as it's finished

Maybe you need to go into device manager, and if an unknown device shows up, re install the ADB driver. Or, uninstall the ADB device and see if it redetects it. They could have changed things just enough that the driver needs to be reinstalled.

Entered device manager right clicked unknown xt894 clicked uninstall, i dont have internet i usually use wifi tether so i cant try to update or search online for the driver... pathetic i know but i cant afford it lol

finally connected to the internet through my wifes razr, updated to latest moto drivers and adb worked, pulling system now

EDIT: Removed link to the update file for everyone's safety. This is not an update you want to install. It will take you off the update path and attempting to flash one of the currently available fastboot files will result in a brick.

Just a word of caution as I know everyone is very excited to see this (I am as well): Be aware that by flashing the leak, you could place your phone in a non-upgradable path.

Many RAZR owners are currently stuck on a non-fastboot restorable version of an ICS leak: .85
They've already seen a new leak: .203, but those that flashed the .85 can't move up to it, because the new leak only applies onto the last Gingerbread version released.

Also: Dhacker29 and I are already hard at work putting together a new ROM build for the RAZR based on the stock ICS leaks by Motorola. That build will now include the D4 in testing if I feel that I can safely get this on the phone for devving. The new build is not currently usable as daily drivers, but hopefully that will change in the next few weeks.

Items already working on the RAZR:
- Touchscreen
- Sound
- Wifi
- Bluetooth
- 3G data (janky tho -- being worked on as we speak)
- HW codecs for YouTube HD, and Netflix

Items not currently working:
- Camera
- LTE
- Wifi Tether
- HDMI

WiFi Tether APK is now working on the RAZR ICS based on the leak if you choose GenericICS as the device type. So things are looking better all the time.
