Stuck in bootloader screen CANNOT enter recovery

In my defence the first post says nothing about phone so I looked at the info under your name :p
Give me a bit...I hate typing on my droid and I can't get to my computer atm.... Just waxed my floor :rofl3:

Touche! It does not ! I'm actually going to hut the sack I've been up for 24 hours and sleep is about the only thing that's starting to make sense at the moment

OK! have a good night. Be sure to plug your droid into a wall charger before you go to bed.... I'm sure it's wore out from all this too lol :D

Did you install the Motorola drivers for the phone? What version of rsdlite are you running? If you are running the latest version you need the latest drivers too. Also, are you sure those files are for D1? Do you have the USB cables plugged into a hub or directly into the computer?
I need answers.

(Rant)why rom manager, why!(/Rant)

So you got it working? Great! If you run into any further problems we'll be happy to try to help you out. :)

Two things -- ROM Manager doesn't not play well with phones all the time. Your best bet is to remove it and run with either ClockworkMod Recovery or SPRecovery and do things manually. And I saw under your phone model INCREDIBLE FTW! and thought you meant you were running a DInc rather than a D1. :)

W hen I'm in RSD I go to the files and before I even hit START under the STATUS line it says PLATFORM NOT DEFINED FOR CDMA_TYPE_OMAP-CHIPSET

When I hit START I immediatly get an error saying FAILED FLASHING PROCESS UNABLE TO RETIEVE BLAH BLAH BLAH INI FILE.

Ive googled this and they say to either move the file to C:/ or My Documents. I have done both and I still get the same error.

Just some ideas.

What version of Windows are you using (if any)? I believe Windows 7 has problems with a least 1 version of RSDLite - although I can't remember which at the moment. I think this someone found this out in the custom boot logo thread while trying to flash sbfs. What version of R SDLite do you have?

As far as the path to the sbf file, I can say that having it in the root folder or some other short path is not needed. I place mine in a folder inside My Documents as follows (C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Droid\Motorola Logo\Custom SBFs\Mine) and I've never had a problem - on Windows XP at least.

As you do the steps, tell us each step and whether or not it works so we know where the glitch is. It might help someone figure out your problem.
Do you see the bootloader text screen? Do you see connected in RSDLite under "Status" before selecting the sbf?

Ok I have windows vista 32 bit with the 32 bit drivers. RSD lite version 4.5.3
Usb is directly installed into computer

Pc you did meantion that they were going to be different...thats why I scoured the googlez for those three files :p

I do see the text screen and it says everything is ok and battery is good and ready and willing to accept stuff

Ok rsdlite is up to 4.7 now. If you don't have the drivers for the right version it wont work.

ok i have absolutly done all I can...I downloaded 6 different RSD lite v4.8 but every time I start the RSD it says its v4.5. this is starting to really annoy me >.<

I restarted the phone under power + Dpad up I get to the black screen that says

Bootloader
2C.6C

Battery OK
Ok to begin
Transfer Mode:
USB

when i sync the droind into this mode (power + dpad UP) when RSD lite is running nothing happens so its a driver issue but WHY does it say im downloading 4.8 when its only v4.5

2C. 6C.? That's the GOOD bootloader. There's hope. :)

First off, uninstall your copy of RSD Lite right now. Next, download from here:

Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire

That's 4.6 -- so if it comes up as anything else I'm going to wonder what the heck is going on.

Now try again. :D

lol thank god I bought a fresh pack of cigarettes
i wasnt sure if I was supposed to remove of repair the original RSD so now I know

furbearinganimal your link is disabled

ok so NOW every time I iinstall an RSD version the new version I install keeps saying 4.5.3 every single time....and throws up an error about capable drivers
