NO !!! dont use back ups after sbfing go to settings then go to privacy do a factory data reset your phone will reboot & you will have to re activate your device then re root it & start from scratch re downlaod the bootstrapper
Phone will be stock. You will need to start over, but any backups you have saved to the SD card will still be there. Once you are rooted and have recovery installed again you can use them, provided the numbers match.
I am a few beers deep and have never sbf'ed but i'm sure me and fbm can get you through it. The first link fbm posted is the place I was going to send you. I think you're looking for wednesdays class on sbf.
Also, read that link I sent you about using RSD Lite the right way. There's real brick-potential in flashing like this. Like Wozzy said, read the directions at least twice.
I need to start stalking you guys on here to learn as much as possible! OP, not only did Spaz come through, FBM, AND WoZzY are here (and among the best IMO)!! :dancedroid:
Awesome. My internet is pretty slow so I'm still waiting for the SBF download to finish. Let's say worst comes to worst and I have to bring it to Verizon. In it's current state, could they figure out it's rooted, or would they give up and give me a new one?
