well, first off, this battery only works with MIUI. if you dont have MIUI, then dont flash it.
if you do, that takes care of that problem. flash the D1 version, then go to:
menu > settings > system > battery settings > battery indicator style > choose "percentage" option.

note: if you dont like the colored icons or whatnot and just want the round battery, you can use the N1 versions but they cause some of the features of the Droid to not work properly. for example, the physical keyboard will not have a backlight, and some applications were not working when they were being used. you best bet is to just stick with the D1 version, since its not causing any problems

I cant get it to install right. I dont know how to install it update.zip? Meta? Every time I try it does the same thing only changes the battery. Even numbers show up white and block circle. Odd shows up smooth green circle. Now I am at 90% green.

okay, this is the link of the one youre supposed to download: http://bit.ly/gLaOLX

then you need to flash it like an update.zip (dont change the name of the file). after the phone reboots when you install, you HAVE to change the battery indicator style to "Percentage" or else there will be a white block that shows up inside the circle. if youre at 90%, the circle should be BLUE with a 90% in the middle of it, it'll turn green around 60-65%, yellow around 35-40%, and red around 15-20%.

note: if you have a theme that changes the colors of the icons or battery already, that will override the colored icons from this battery file. if you are using a theme that changes them, try switching to the stock theme, then flash this.

Steel blue2 no worky grrrrrrrrrrr

correct, doesnt work on blue-steel because the theme generates some different icons in the status bar rather than just stock MIUI icons.

tested and working on Glasklart, Crusta, Purple Kush, Glowen, Ahmengkai, Tenius, and iPhone themes. other than that, just try a bunch

One thing it does do is overwrite the transitions. I has the fly-in and lost it when I flashed the circle. Have to decide which I want more.

So I am stuck with a stock theme?

Not at all, this is my current setup and you can see I am definitely using a theme.
