Text message tone wont stop repeating

So since I upgrade to gingerbread a few weeks ago, I noticed that when I get a text message that my notification won't stop repeating itself. Before it would go off once, and that was it. I have no idea how to fix it. I tried reloading the file onto the phone, same problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yes and no. I reset the phone to factory specs and it was fine after that. Then a few weeks later it crapped out on me, thankfully insurance took care of it. But hey, for $50, you get a new(ish) phone.

If anyone else has this issue in the future you can just restart your phone in recovery and wipe cache. Definitely easier than the headache of doing a full factory reset.

Every since I updated my phone to Gingerbread my text tone has been distorted.

This only happens with my text tone.

it is the Hangout_ringtone. I changed it to Mira and it doesn't do it anymore.
