The Google Drive Q&A Thread

I am new to the whole using clouds...docs...etc. but this looks like an interesting way to share files between my gadgets. I did check out Microsofts Skydrive but it will not load on my old desktop (win XP) and to me that kills it. Gdrive does/did install on both my laptop, my old pc, my phone and according to the website my ipod soon. Totally trumps Microsoft! :)dancedroid

My Drive is "not ready" yet. But looking at the file installed on my phone, what do you think this program does with a 9Mb installation size?

The biggest problem with Google Drive is the "permissions" you must accept from Google. Like everything else you might upload to Google, you give them complete rights to the content even if you delete you account and info.

Wasn't that a problem with Dropbox as well? Seems like something along those lines, but I can't remember for sure...

I still have it, but I'm just so used to Dropbox/Sugarsync, and rarely used Gdocs before anyway, it's been hard to make it a "daily driver" of sorts.

Don't use it all the time but it's nice to have around.

Tapped from a Galaxy Nexus using Xparent ICS
