The Gun Club

This is sweet. Never expected to see a gun topic. Haven't read all pages. Anyway, it took me two weeks to get my CCL here in Virginia. I only have a picture of my most recent purchase. Two Baretta 96D .40, I also have a H&K P2000sk and a Model 11 shotgun. I have more but I haven't been back home to get them from the parents after I joined the military.

...I live in Florida, not many people CC that I know of around here...

Don't count on that...as of November 31, 2009, Florida had over 600,000 licensed concealed carry permit holders. That number is growing at a massive rate. I applied for mine in December of '09 and they are required by law to issue or explain why they aren't within 90 days of application received. They were so backed up with applicants they still hadn't even opened my packet by mid-January, didn't cash my check 'til mid-March, and I didn't receive my permit 'til April. I would not be surprised at all if the number of CCW permits in Florida wasn't fast approaching or has already passed the one million mark.

90 days?!
I live in Ohio, applied on a Friday and received my card in the mail the following Tuesday. Then I applied for a PA license, received it back in less than two weeks.

Sometimes living in fly-over country does have advantages.

I'm from Florida and that why they call it the Gunshine State.

Just curious, I have no guns, but has anyone seen the apps like schottgunn? or the ak-47 one? is a few..

Steve, how many rounds does that little .45 carry in the mag? Are there extended mags?

No extended mags that I know of but you can use a full size mag and get one more in.

this one holds 7 + 1 in the pipe. Single stack and I have "thin" grips on it so it conceals nicely.

just sold my S&W Sigma .40 which by the way...SUCKED! If your in the gun market....do not get that it may be cheap pricewise...but thats cause its cheap gun wise also.
I picked up the Tauras PT-101 .40 from Academy for $300 with 2 16 rd magazines. Such an improvment over the S&W. had a few people tell me dont get it...but I'm very impressed with it. its solid good weight and seems pretty on par with my dads expensive rugers

Taurus makes several different models of 1911's. I have shot their model with the tactical rail and was quite impressed. It had a very nice trigger, even for a 1911, and I shot about a 1.5" group at around 25 feet with one flier.

I say get it if you want a 1911. .45ACP ammo's fairly expensive but if you want a 1911, that's a good price and Taurus makes a decent factory one.

Still don't have a Droid (can't upgrade until 4/25). But when I do, it will be riding along with my daily carry HK USP.40:

I bought a new pistol. It's just a little one. I'm looking for a nice ankle holster.

I'll be replacing the holosight with a micro red dot and the ghetto paracord sling attachment with a web one soon. Mr. Draco here makes some nice fireballs. It's quite fun to blow through some ammo around dusk.

Ha,a gun thread, cool.

Have several more guns but not listing them .
