Friday am...

I got to work and remembered I have an "important" seminar Friday afternoon.

Maybe I could still get it at lunch and let it charge... but then again I may not pay any attention in the siminar.

Maybe I'll just wait until Saturday morning too and hope for the best.

Ha, I am going to be at the store at opening (9:00 am). I have an 'offsite' meeting in my calendar then. dancedroid

I'm already off work Friday, but tied up all day with friends (Kennedy Space Center special tour and will see Shuttle Atlantis up close), followed by dinner and furthering my nerd activities, wrapping up with Star Wars in 3D. There are five of us going. By the time I'm freed up the stores will be closed. :blink:

I guess I'll go on Saturday morning, maybe try to be there when they open. :biggrin:

A Verizon rep told me they would have it on the 9th for ordering, so the whole "overnight it to have it release day" thing seems mighty feasible at this point.

I'm wondering if I should bide my time and wait for a "Droid 4 MAXX" kind of upgrade with the extended battery or just go all out right away on the new phone...?

I keep saying that when and IF the d4maxx comes out, they'll be better phones. Unless you need a keyboard, have a decent phone now, then wait and see. There might even be a better keyboard phone from someone else. Or the Galaxy SIII if you want a good phone.

My D1 is on it's last legs. So I really could use a new one. I don't need a new one now, but it would make my life easier. So I'm getting the D4.

I hope we can order it tomorrow. I hate going to the Verizon store. Its always packed full of people and it takes forever to get service. Plus, I usually know more about my phone from forums like these than anyone at VZW.

If its anything like the initial release of the Droid4.. then I'll talk to you in July when you get your brand new D4Maxx. lol

I can't get to the DroidDoes website. Hmm. I wonder if they're updating for ordering options tomorrow. Or everyone is looking at the Droid 4 specs. It keeps getting closer, but not yet.

yeah, the website is spotty at times. try refreshing the page and it should work.

I am one of those types that needs a keyboard, and I'm also a diehard Motorola fan until the day someone hands me a brand new non-Motorola Nexus phone for free. It's gonna be the Droid 4, "Droid 4 MAXX", or the Droid 5 for me, or nothing.

My friend works at a vzw store and I've been waiting for this phone to come in he called me when they got them this afternoon so I could pick it up. I'm pretty sure they are not available to the public yet as they didn't even know the price to charge me because it wasn't in the comp yet

BTW considering you posted no pic and have 2 posts i call BS on you getting one early cause your friend works at a store. it was a nice story though
