No. Best Buy doesn't do the loyalty discount. I checked when I was toying with getting a GNex. You have to buy from a corporate store, online, or certain resellers to get the $30.

Planning on keeping my OG running till it dies or someone comes out with a slider that is worth getting.

If it's reduced this much before release, it'll be free sooner not later. I'll wait out the GSM / MAXX / ICS questions before deciding.

well if it had removable batteries you would need an extra charger to charge the battery you need the extra batteries so really the costs are the same. I doubt it will be free the droid 3 is still not free

So...is there an official announcement from Verizon about the Droid 4 release date? How do I know I can trust BGR? I haven't seen anything on any official Verizon site.

On a note about HDMI cables, don't overpay for them. There are sites where you can get dirt cheap HDMI cables, such as monoprice.com and pchcables.com, the latter being a company local to me that does online ordering.

I also allready have 2 usb cables and a portable charger.

By the time the rumored D4maxx comes better phones will be out. So moto would be stupid to releazse one. The SGIII should be out in Apr/May, and that will be a beast. But I'm not waiting that long.

Thanks for reminding me about the HDMI cable. I looked at one before but got sidetracked, I'm going to look for one online. Hopefully it gets here by Friday.

For HDMI cables go to Amazon they are the cheapest. Make sure you get micro HDMI though not mini. And I would just get an adapter rather than a dedicated cable more practical and the same price.

haha.. I am taking a half day Friday. What a great excuse to take some time off of work.


Actually, now that I think of it. I may be wrong, but I know with the iPhone4 came out, my roommate ordered his the day before and they over-nighted his iPhone to him and he got it the day it came out. Maybe it will go on the VZW site on Thursday and we can order it.

If not, I will just get it on Fri. Hopefully 1 pm isn't too late in the day to get it.

I'm already off work Friday, but tied up all day with friends (Kennedy Space Center special tour and will see Shuttle Atlantis up close), followed by dinner and furthering my nerd activities, wrapping up with Star Wars in 3D. There are five of us going. By the time I'm freed up the stores will be closed. :blink:

I guess I'll go on Saturday morning, maybe try to be there when they open. :biggrin:

Maybe I could still get it at lunch and let it charge... but then again I may not pay any attention in the siminar.

since when does verizon release phones on friday you would think this would be able to be ordered online thursday for fri delivery
