It was "nexuses", but I think we all agreed that we'd say Nexi since it is much easier to pronounce. :biggrin:

Im so tired of the cacti and cactus argument. haha now we go to nexi and nexus. I can say this from a local az perspective that most people call the plural of cactus well.... they call them cactus. :biggrin: "See all that cactus" "Their is cactus everywhere" now if someone said cacti it would just sound like a smartypants person because technically it is cacti as well but from my experience people generally dont say that. Now nexus, i purpose we say the same thing. "See nexus everywhere" "I am looking at a room full of nexus" if you said i am looking at nexi, id think you had a nickname for your phone. it just sounds wieird as nexi. IMO.

I'm going to be traveling that day for a meeting in Philly at 10am. Going to try to get their early so I can make a stop at a local verizon store around there to pick one up. If not, I'll grab one after my meeting in early afternoon. I feel pretty confident they wont be sold out. Oh yea....I forgot the ginormous IF it gets released that day comment...

Where in Jersey do you live? I live about 15-20 mins from philly.

And I maintain that just because it isn't true now does not mean that it wasn't true when the were saying it... things can change... all we can do is go off the most recent information, which at this point says it is the 15th...

Nope, I'm an engineer... less BS and more analytical thinking than Politics.

Saying that the Dec. 15th is false because the 9th was false is like saying there will be an Earthquake on Friday because there was an Earthquake last Friday... there is a no correlation between the two events. Now if there was an earthquake every friday for the last 3 months, it would be a safe assumption that there would be one this friday, but only once have stores received any devices and started leaking out info about a release date which then fell a part. There is zero indication that a pattern has developed and therefore there is no reason to speculate that the Dec 15th date is false beyond permission and just being plain ole grumpy.

Which is more crazy, for someone to believe that it will come out on Thursday because it is what we are being told or to believe that it won't come out Thursday because it happened once before and one has a "feeling"?

I laughed hard also. First, I am from AZ so I know the argument, but, being the "smartypants" that I am, always say "cacti".

Second, you started out by saying "Im so tired of the cacti and cactus argument." Then rambled on about it for 5 minutes. I'm tired of it now too!
