I'd say I'm a realist rather than a "pessimist". Better that than a naive optimist. That way if does come, I'll be excited, and if it doesn't come, I won't be bummed out. Must be emotionally draining being an optimist your whole life :happy3:

Yeah I'm sorry I don't have rainbows and butterflies coming out my butt with enough optimism to go around for everyone! I guess that is just the "rationalization of a pessimist" though.

Honest, wasn't trying to be a jerk....just tired of all the pessimism. I understand the reservations, but there's still no reason to not always have hope. Positive vibes man.....friends?

I have remained positive about this phone until this latest message from VZW, it's hard not to take that as anything but this phone isn't coming this week. I truly hope I am wrong though! This has literally been the only phone since my D1 that I have been excited about so forgive me for letting it bother me some that we haven't seen it yet but everyone else in the world has.

I'll go with optimistic realist then. In no way am I naive. I honestly believe we make our own luck, and a positive attitude is first and foremost in achieving anything.

I agree 100% we make our own luck and our own path. Unfortunately we cannot use that to release this phone, well I guess I could just try to build my own Nexus, that would be making my own luck, haha

So I thought Nexus updates came straight from Google. These come from Verizon? If that's the case, will we be just as behind in updates like all other phones with the slimy greasy skins?

I don't think updates will be that slow. But, I'm sure Verizon will want to get their dirty paws on anything that's going out to "their" phones (as they have had a way of putting it) before it goes public. We already got 4.1 on the horizon after this update.
