So I have to post this because I know most of you read this so often and its a little venting . So our department is out for lunch and the topic of phones comes up. Here we go again. Well what you have to know is my manager is Apple everything. Pretty much all of it came down to him saying Apple is for adults that are smarter higher class people and android is for kids. And that Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for copying everything off of the iphone. Well i guess all of us are a bunch of kids. Well I like being a kid then. Some people are just so brainwashed with apple. Hey if apple is what you want fine , but there is no reason to not accept technology that is different. Sorry he just bothers me when he talks about this stuff.

a cell phone phone does not equal identity or human character... regardless of what some (your manager) might think...

I find it interesting that he feels Apple is for adults, I'd almost say I think it's the opposite.

If I had a small son or daughter and they needed a smart phone, I'd probably buy them an Iphone because I know he or she would be able to use it easier and I'm being serious, this isn't a knock on the Iphone. Now I don't think Apple devices are strictly for children, that would be ridiculous because many adults love the products, but it's nearly a fact they're simpler to use than PC's or Android hand held devices.

Apple makes quality products, the Iphone is very well made and the software is some of the most refined and easiest to get used to, but I think we can all agree the reason we enjoy Android is because it's exciting to find out all the extra things we can do because of the way it's software is designed.

It's like chess and checkers, sure chess is more difficult, but it's also more rewarding.

easier ui=easier for an untechy person. i would not that this characteristic really means much for the iphone vs android with phones. i believe it has to do more with tablets. ipad vs any android tablet. ipad is 5x easier to use. apple has that quick ui with its simplicity that makes it stick out.

He really puts down everything that isn't apple. Don't get me wrong they make great things I just can't say something is better because of the name of who made it. Our joke at works is if you don't have apple products and a BMW you will never be in with the "IN" crowd.

Sounds like he needs to go to an AA meeting... Appleholics Anonymous ;)

So this just came out. Apparently the pic now on the Google Galaxy Nexus Tech Specs page shows a varied darker LTE version of the phone (flip the phone around in the 3d spin view).

Article: Thickness Comparison: LTE vs. GSM Galaxy Nexus – Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog
Google Page for GN: Galaxy Nexus

Doesn't look that different but definitely a darker, more graphite color. Probably impossible to tell what it will look like IRL by looking at this tho... I pray it won't be bad. They also talk about the thickness difference but looks practically the same to me. I notice that this virtual model doesn't have the small power icon next to the side power button.

Also, someone in the comments posted a slightly better compaison using the virtual tool, because for some reason the article's side pc looks almost black and white (look at the LTE version's dock contacts...they are gray instead of gold..??): http://i43.tinypic.com/ix5yr5.png

I think the difference has a lot more to do with the conditions in which the photo of each device were taken than the actual look of the device.

I dont see where he said that. he never updated his review. i wonder where josh wrote that...

you dont believe me O.o. i looked all over using the google is my friend. but then i saw a blue bird, and thought. twitter aint to bad either.

heres https://twitter.com/#!/joshuatopolsky his twitter page

and heres the link- we got stats! although phandroid is completely wrong when they said heavy usage lol

What's been using all that battery. on Twitpic

and after going down a little on the twitter page i see "Galaxy Nexus battery update: nearly 17 hours on a pretty heavy day of use, 13% still left. Not bad."
odds are the battery usage photo is of this. however i still fail to see the heavy usage. im guessing he just went on gmail ALOT cuz 13% of gmail using the battery is alot (when its competing with the screen)

twitter is really good, i almost never use it either. i wouldnt call it a social networking site for a group of friends, its more to follow famous people, or in this case, famous techy people
