★ The Official "I got my Droid RAZR Thread" ★

I received my Droid Razr from amazon yesterday. I purchased it through my company (new subscriber) so I only paid a penny. I love it so far... awesome, but i'm a Motorla fan so no surprise there! dancedroid

Went to Verizon to get my son's Droid repaired. Came out with a RAZR for me and gave my DroidX to my son.

So you did that all for your son, right? ;) Lol!

Great move. You're going to love it!

Just discovered this thread. Pre~ordered mine. Got it on Nov. 10! A whole day before everyone else. So I really need to edit this thread so I can insert my comments for that day. Moderator? So far it's been awesome. This my first smart phone. A guy at work had been bragging about his iPhone for a couple of years now. I had a razr V3a

and a V9m. Been looking for an excuse to blow him out of the water without jumping ship. This new razr does that and more! Amazing! Love it.

Like I said this needs to be back dated to Nov. 10. I want to hear all the envious comments! Minor hassle with activation. Guess Verizon wasn't quite ready. Took 3 different support techs, my wife's phone and 20 frickin' minutes to get her done! Also had to read off a bunch of numbers from the shipping paperwork. But, once accomplished have been very happy!

Guys have been talking about green and blue screens. Don't have that problem with mine, at all. Also battery life is superior to my old razor flip phone. Set up smart actions properly and it lasts all day with my normal moderate use.

Also it took nearly a week for this phone to show up on My Verizon attached to my number. My wife's pink aluminum V3m still shows up as silver! It also took a few days after end of billing cycle to see my monthly data allotment reset. What's up with all that?

I broke the screen on my DX about 3 months ago (it still continued to work, just couldn't see it easily). Finally got around to ordering the replacement touchscreen. In the process of replacing it I broke the tiny RF wire so had to order that part too. Finally got it all back together and couldn't get the damn thing to fire up correctly (screen just keeps flashing).

Finally last Saturday morning my wife said - "You're going to the store and not leaving without a phone!" (She was sick of me complaining about not getting my DX to work!). Left with a RAZR - can't believe how unbelievably fast it is!! And the screen is really amazing!

BTW - anyone want a DX ? ;)

I bought a Droid Razr from Amazon this past Black Friday weekend, cost me $0.01 only (and free 2 day shipping, gotta love Amazon) with a 2-year new contract with Verizon. Received my Droid Razr on the mail last night. Battery was already at 50%, so I charged it for 1hr 40 minutes and it was at 100%. Then activated the phone without issues. There seems to be a slight sim card issue (re: LTE authentication, addressed in many other threads), but that is a Verizon problem not a Droid problem and Verizon customer service has already shipped a new sim card my way.

I switched from an ancient iPhone 3G which I got in September 2008. Lot has changed since then of course as mobile technology has a very rapid growth rate. I am a total first timer - first time with Verizon (had ATT since I got my first cellphone in 2001), first time using a Motorola device, and first time using an Android device. I am loving the Droid so far. Like the look and feel of it, the speed, smoothness in operation, display and the camera are what I expected from it -- perfect for everyday use for an average consumer! Looking forward to discovering the ins and outs of Android system and the various apps/functionality over the next few days :) !!

Upgrade finally came and grabbed my Razr I've been waiting for since release and OMG! I FREAKIN LOVE THIS BEAST! Its amazingly fast, screen is beautiful, and so far with smart actions in place amazing battery life! Although it was hard to put my beloved droid1 down, it is a worthy device to go to. Loving it and definitely gonna carry me through for the next 2 years. Now all we need is ICS on it and all will be perfect! Come on ICS!

HAD MY Razr 12 days and all i czan say is f... yeah! Alot better than DX. all good except LTE dropping. get to work VZW.

Guys with older phones are amazed to see me watching streaming HD movies via Netflix. That 4G is certainly faster than the company's wifi!
