The official "I've got my Galaxy S3" thread!

I have to agree. I hate to to admit it but I think I may be bordline obsessed with this phone. With my luck stupid apple will ban it before I get my hands on one.

How is the Telephone part of the phone?

How is the Bluetooth connectivity?

How is the volume on all the audio features?

How is the music feature?

How's the battery life?

How's the camera?

I worship the GS3 and its features that I've read about.

How is it compared to my Bionic? Is it an improvement and worth the $$$$$$

Battery life I will tell you in a few days (plus I am not on vzw any more so Att lte v vzw lte battery may be different).

First keyboard to keep up with my typing since my iPhone.

Music volumes are much louder than the nexus.

Though plastic it feels solid, still buying an otterbox for work though.

I hate touchwiz launcher....thank goodness for nova launcher.

Camera ill report later. So far looks good and love the options.

Worth the money.....yup 199.99 is worth it.

Give apple 3 months. Then you will see some envy to block Sammy sales.

How is the Telephone part of the phone? The telephone works great crisp, clear. I'm in Pittsburgh, PA and I have yet to get over 3 bars of reception, could just be my area. I am almost in the city.

How is the Bluetooth connectivity? I have a Lincoln with Sync and the text messaging features no longer work. I'm upgraded as far as I can go on the car. Kinda disappointing. Otherwise bluetooth is fine.

How is the volume on all the audio features? Volume is great. This phone is pretty loud playing music. Nice speak on the back

How is the music feature? I'v only played a bunch of mp3s and streamed internet radio, no issuses loud enough for me

How's the battery life? This I'm not too impressed with. Of course using all the things described above will drain the battery, but mine seems to go quick. I played about 1 hour worth of music and the battery was almost half drained. I'm going to give it more time in this area.

How's the camera? The camera is great. I'm not a huge camera users, but it's worked well so far even in low light

I worship the GS3 and its features that I've read about.

Things I don't like so far. It could be that I've just not found where to set some of these things

1. When you close all the browsers it opens up a blank page and not the homepage (mine is google)
2. When I change settings on this phone I have to do it twice. For instance I turned off the predictive texting and it didn't turn off, once I went back in and turned it off again it worked. Seems to happen on every menu
3. Battery life seems a little on the low side
4. When I go to a place that has wifi it's always asking me if I want to connect. I'm sure there's a way to turn that off, just haven't found it
5. My text messaging feature in my car no longer works. That could be just because SYNC needs to catch up to thsi phone, but it should just be based on the bluetooth version which is supported.

These are very nickpicky. I will say this is the best phone I've ever used/seen. All my friends are apple people and they are impressed. If you don't have this phone, get it!

Number four can be disabled, it happens with my Rezound, and number five is a good idea by Samsung, and all phone manufacturers should follow, no texting while behind the wheel "may it be on blue tooth or not", it is a distraction and distractions behind the wheel KILLS people.

Mine came Friday morning at 11:00 am...

and of course I was nutso all day to get home from work to play!!! :icon_ banana: The phone is just awesome. My old phone was a Droid2. The screen is as good as the hype. Love the "hold phone to ear" to call any contact currently showing on the screen!! Great when receiving a text while driving!

Activation was a breeze for me. I just followed the included directions and was up and running in no time at all. Actually, I have been a verizon customer forever (15+ yrs) and it's the first time I've accomplished truly self-activation! The microphone to type is hands down, no contest! better than my Droid2 was!

I was shocked/surprised/very impressed when ALL the programs I had on my Droid started downloading to my Galaxy! No clue why this happened, but very convenient!! The phone reaction time is fast, the phone quality is better than my Droid, which I thought was good too.

My phone is only connecting at 3G, not sure why as I'm located in the middle of a 4G area. I always connect Wifi when at work and home so it's not that big of a deal to me and will research it after I get through playing!

So, am I happy with my new phone? Oh Yes!! I can actually read the internet pages now with this huge screen!

You could read with small screen too just change the font. Ics have that feature.

Glad you guys got galaxy s3 ,after you guys some wanted Galaxy s2 last year. I guess Verizon was hearing people feedback brought the phone back to us.

Sorry if this has been answered, but every time I receive a text, it sends an alert to my work mail on the exchange server, along with a copy of the text. I can't figure out how to disable it, as I don't want texts mixed in with my work email. Any help is appreciated!
