Sounds typical. Black Skirt Tetras are schooling fish and can get nippy if they aren't in a large enough group. I would visit your local pet store and get something for fin cure. Depending on the brand they have several different names. If you have a large enough tank, I would consider adding maybe 2 or 3 more to the group. Hope this helps you out...good luck!
