The UD 2 Bug Thread (if u have any)

The issues I had was the bug in the gallery in the corner, my phone running ridiculously hot, I had to change ROMs and now it doesn't do that but I love UD do that sucks. The text over the contact if that's really even a bug. Hmm, the LP 3D app drawer. And I had to change the widgets in the pulldown menu more than once but I think it stayed the second time

Anyone know if there is a setting (I cannot find it if there is one) to designate a dialer key as a speed dial from contacts/people where when you long-press an assigned number in the dialer, it speed-dials the contact phone number assigned?

If that capability isn't built in 'natively' in the ROM, can anyone recommend an app that does that? I checked the market, and the speed dialer apps I found (the free ones anyway) are not integrated into the dialer.

Many thanks in advance for the guidance/advice.
Speed dials aren't a feature in any ROM, unfortunately. DialerOne (in the Market) has them, but it doesn't integrate with the stock dialer...it's a full replacement. I'd recommend it though, been using it for months now.

One other bug on my phone is,... I have about 400 sms messages and when using the Modified MMS app It takes for every to scroll thru a persons text history. Switch back to stock app and it is fine.. Anybody else noticing in this or just me?

Speed dialers based on/linked to contacts are built-in and.work seamlessley on many Sense ROMs for the Incredible, exactly as I described; thus my question on whether it's available in UD2's settings, or if an AOSP equivalent was/is available.

Update:Tried Dialer One as recommended, works flawlessly - thx for the tip!

Might want to try a free app in the market called sms quick delete.

what does deleting have to do with it if its not sluggish with stock app but sluggish the themed one?

Same here... also my lock screen wont change from the stock UD backround and im having redraws like no tomorrow as well as aweful battery life... I love some of the features of this rom, but it is way too buggy for me. it seems more like a beta then a full release rom.

List of issues: (wiped and installed, then did it again and I have the same issues)
1: Aweful battery life.. every other kernal bootloops
2: redraws like crazy (even with the local.prop mod)
3: UD stock backround defaults everything, even my lock screen is different then the backround i have normally
4: UD settings crashes everytime I change a setting now, I cant remove the bluetooth and wifi widget from the pulldown

Ive got a bunch more issues too... its really sad :( People need to build off this rom, fixing all the issues

I'm not having these problems, but I did have the wallpaper thing on CM6 and on UD1.0.0. The easiest way to fix it is to go into system/app and remove UDwallpapers.apk.
I tried that, and my wallpaper immediately came back...awesome. But when I woke up the next morning and picked up the Droid, I was greeted by the UD wallpaper again. WTF? With UDWallpapers.apk gone, where is that even coming from? :icon_eek:

Wiped dalvik cache from UD settings, and wiped phone cache from SPRecovery, my wallpaper again came back for a while. But alas, it's got the UD wallpaper right now...yet again. :(

The wallpaper thing has popped back up for me and its driving me nuts. Every time I dock my phone, the UD grey background comes back. Also, it's there on the lockscreen as well but they both revert back to my wallpaper after undocking or unlocking. I have the same problem in shadowrom and cm6 rc4. Since they are all built off of cm this is technically not a UD exclusive bug, but it's annoying non the less.

i don't know if this is a UD issue or not but I just switched over yesterday and I haven't gotten emails on my google account since. any idea?

This happens sometimes after switching ROMs.

Go to settings>applications>manage applications

Find Gmail and clear cache and data. Get back into email and let it sync. Your problem should be solved.

Mine defaults to 'USB storage on' whenever I plug it into a computer to charge now, where it didn't with UD1. Kinda annoying...only real issue I've had since I installed.

I cleared data and cache but now my emails only go up to Nov. 13th. Does It take a little while?

Indeed. You're right about the dock tripping the UD paper, does the same on mine. When I restart LauncherPro, my wallpaper comes back every time, but the lockscreen and clock tend to still use the UD wallpaper, unless I boot the phone while it's in the dock.

I did find out where the image is coming from, it's "default_wallpaper.jpg" inside framework-res.apk. I'm about to test the effects of simply deleting that file. If that doesn't work out, I'll be happy enough for now just replacing it with an image of my choosing.

Well let us know how it works
