The Ultimate Droid 2.0.0 - Droid 1

no you wont lose root but you wont be able to flash a fresh install of 2.0 which is what you need. You can keep trying kernels but I'd just try and get back up.

Ok, When my card is done copying, I will try. (fingers crossed)

It keeps telling me it can't mount the SD card, which would make it impossible to re-flash 2.0 correct?

What could be the cause/solution of this?

(perhaps related) I have a 32 Gb card and it has always taken a while for all of the apps to load after a reboot.

I have heard from other users that clockwork doesn't play nice with the 32 gig memory cards, so that might be the only problem

you may have to reformat the card. It looks to be a problem with the SD card.

I agree, I've had that happen to me not too long ago when i flashed 1.0... SD Card was completely screwed wouldn't mount on anything, nor could I reformat or even touch it at all. Good news is that Verizon covers the SD card on the warranty with the droid so i was able to get a new one without much of a hassle.

in cw recovery there is an option of mount/storage in there will be the option to format system, sd card

CK, you are the best.

I was able to get back into CW and install a Slayher kernel and it came back up!

WHEW!

I think I should re-format my card anyway and see if that helps.

Would you recommend I do this through the phone or PC or does it matter.

Secondly, once I copy everything back over, should it work as before i.e will the phone still recognize all of my apps I have moved to the SD?

Thanks again!

awesome! good news......

reformatting through the phone or pc is fine BUT if you do it via the PC becareful and choose to do the SD card. Somebody totally reformatted their entire computer a few months ago by not paying attention : ) true story.

Yes once you copy everything back over you will be perfectly fine.

If you know,
When you format your card, your phone puts a couple of folders on there. When I go to copy my back-up to the card, should I delete those folders first?

Anway to lose that black bar on the lockscreen @ the top? Or at least make it say something
