The Ultimate Droid 3.0.0 Beta - 7 Phones - Nexus S Updated 1/10/11

here is the throttle hack specifically for 3.0.

I made this from the services.jar that came from the original ulitmate_sholes_gingerbread download.

Dont use a throttle hack from any other ROM.

DONT FLASH THIS THROUGH RECOVERY...move it to /system/framework and change permissions to match all the other .jar files in framework. Then reboot. If it works, the reboot will take a long time, just be patient.

services.jar

I am not running UD3 right now till the issues are resolved with

Camcorder
3g
internet browser not working for me through 3g (only works in wifi)

Switched to your services.jar and made a call. Still drops data. Oh well, worth the try. Thanks.

Been running it since last night....is anyone's running slower, especially when loading up the messaging. Mine becomes unresponsive when loading the messaging up. Just wondering if this is a problem with many people or if I need to try to reinstall.

Mines very snappy.

No prob. And your not the only one with the charger problem. I've seen manyyyy threads about the phone being choppy when its plugged in.

I only have that kind of problem with a generic charger. If I use the OEM charger that came with the phone, I have no issues except for the shutdown/reboot problem that every rom has (Shutting down while charging reboots the phone).

what happened to Gmail

I have a strange problem. I downloaded the first version of this 3.0 beta. I use the download to the SD card, name it "update ” and then open it in recovery. The first version installed fine. It had no Gmail and I could not get my e-mail exchange to communicate with the server although I had both contacts and the calendar loaded. I thought that odd.

I retrace my steps and called the file "update.zip" with no success. The problem remain. I then downloaded the newer version of the 3.0 beta and use the "update" filename and it said it aborted the installation. Nevertheless, it look like it installed. Tried it again renamed as "update.zip" and still an aborted installation.

However, this time my e-mail did get recognized by my server. However, still no Gmail. Of course, between installations I did a complete wipe.

So my question is do I have to install the Google apps file from the 2.5 version or am I missing something with the 3.0 version?

Thank you so much and happy new year to everyone.

Jim

After going to market and downloading my applications, I now have Gmail! sorry to waste anyone's time.

I use the oem and a lg charger (made sure it had the exact same specs) and I never run into any issues with either charger. It doesn't affect everyone just certain phones.
