The Ultimate Droid 3.1.1 - Multiple Phones and Tablets!! - Links Addded

Thanx for the help. I let pandora run while I was taking a shower and cleaning up earlier but it was on wifi. I'll go 3g on my way to work tomorrow and see how it goes. I usually stream it via bluetooth and my car stereo, if that makes a difference. I wouldn't think so, but who knows.

I'm using poweramp right now and noticed that it will close as I am doing more things on the phone, but will come back when I stop those things.

Anyways, you mentioned compcache earlier. I tried enabling it in a terminal but got some errors. Tried the stats, start and stop commands. Is there something special I have to do?

make sure you go into the ud menu under performance and select 18% then restart your phone and then enable in terminal.

I must say i have been hesitant in switching to GB Rom... i finally caved in last night and tried PE and no go.. within two hours, 2 System FC's and freezes i was back on Sourcery that is a Froyo Rom.

Today i noticed a couple of users rave about UD and i decided to give it a shot. I must say i am pleasantly surprised. Smooth, stable, msgs and call are fine, and i am blown away by the built in SIP. I am still learning the features but this is a well done Rom. Great Job.

I feel like i may have found my new daily driver.

Just tried that and got this message:

Code:
modprobe: chdir(2.6.32.9-cm-stk): No such file or directory
/system/bin/compcache: cannot create /sys/block/zram0/disksize: directory nonexistent
mkswap: can't open '/dev/block/zram0': No such file or directory
swapon: can't stop '/dev/block/zram0'" No such file or directory

compcache stats gives me this:

Code:
cd: can't cd to /sys/block/zram0

EDIT:

I played pandora for about 10-15 mins on my way to work with no problems. When I just tried it again, this time with earbuds in, it stopped playing a few seconds in.

Anyone else notice that the icons in the Launcher are really fuzzy and low-res?

I've been running Pandora all morning without problems. Yesterday, I used PowerAmp for several hours without issues. Not helpful I know, but doesn't appear to be something inherent with the 3.1 rom

Pandora did stop playing when I plugged earbuds in the middle of a song. Restarted app and it's been good for several songs.

i really have to make an account at their forum to try this out?

just saying because for some reason their site is real sloooooooow.

Yes, that sucks. I really wanted to try this but I'm not usually willing to register for a download. Oh well.

Not trying to start stuff here - but, there are supposed to be download links in the OP ... I was called out by a mod for not having d/l links on the OPs in my section.

It appears as if there are a select few that need not abide by this rule though ... :icon_rolleyes:

I guess this has hurt The UD / Renovated relationship

ROM is running great aside from memory management issues on droid 1 and I have noticed a problem that effects both local images and ones from apps / browsers. its kind of hard to explain so I will post a screenshot.

No, not at all ... I am registered so it don't bother me. My laziness has hurt the UD/Renovated experience  Plus Incinerated has kinda taken over my life :D

Is there a way to turn off the built in CPU governer? I use SetCPU and in previous versions, there was a check box to turn off the one built in. Now, I see no such box.

I'm geetting about 10% battery drain per hour with 3.1.1 where with 2.5 my phone would last "forever" on a charge. I've changed nothing with my applications since 2.5 :(.

The UD governor setting is a fire and forget (I think - someone correct me if not!). All that setting does is tell UD what governor to use; having that setting or not having it has no effect on battery life once UD has applied the governor.

In other words, having setCPU override this setting just that; an override to a setting. It has no on-going battery use as the phone runs.

UD 3.x is based on a whole new OS version from Google, so it makes some sense that even though the apps are the same you're seeing some variation in other areas such as battery life.

Getting the same here.

Flashed this rom last night and love it. I am still working my way through all the little extras so I can get the full spectrum of what it can do and no problems thus far. Everything seems stable and is running as intended. dancedroid
