The update is availible by pulling it NOW!

Turned on wifi pulled battery and got the update. Camera is so much faster. The phone overall is faster somehow, browser is incredibly snappier. They must have done more then what they listed in the release statement. The phone just rips now, wow. This phone is reclaiming its name, The bionic. It acts like the 2nd core is being utilized or something.

Got my update this morning. Phone is doing great. Moved numerous aps to the SD card and haven't lost anything. About a week ago, I lost my data connection for a day. The next morning, it came back with 4G now at my house and everywhere within my area (FT Wayne, IN and surrounding area) so data issues resolved themselves before the update. I liked the phone before-now it is outstanding. Thanks Morotola and Verizon.

I also got that message many times, before I finally tried one more time and got it. I thinks their servers are overloaded. :)

I am having one minor issue. When I push Pandora over to the SD card, it will lose the widget from the screen and theh widget is no longer available in the widget folder. I reinstalled and moved it back to the main memory-no issues.

I still get same msg. Update not available at this time. Does it matter if Wifi is on or off?

Help!! I have a rooted Bionic and the update won't install for me even after I unfroze everything (Titanium Backup), downloaded and ran RootKeeper, updated all of my apps (including bloatware), and did a battery pull. Any ideas here??

I think its just a matter of waiting for it to come to your phone. Thas what Verizon and Motorola said anyways

My phones been asking me to download and install the update since 7 this morning but I didn't because I wanted to make sure I would keep the root and nothing would get screwed up. Just tried it again and it still failed. Don't know what else to do.

I did get the down lowed and i was rooted with petes root tools and now it don't work 5.5.893 blocked my root can some one help me please i cant unroot or reroot.

versions

I am confused by the references to version 5.5.893. my bionic says it is up to date and it has system version 5.7.893. what is the diff between 5.5 and 5.7?

I'm unsure but thats the up date my phone did after i rooted it and it was wanting me to up date that next day did you use pete root Tools if not that may be what the differents
