[Theme] 928Droid "Black Glass" 2.2 for Froyo - Update.zip - MetaMorph - Back to Stock

Hey guys..downloaded the file (for C6 RC1)...renamed to update.zip and installed but stuck in boot animation. The animation also is cut off, only showing the left and right edges of the animation. I'm on moto droid and can run the stock Cyanogen 6 just fine. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Want to get this black glass goodness!

After finally getting to download the file, I get this exact same issue! It's like no other boot loop I've been in before. The animation freezes just as the first few lines start to enter the screen from the sides, and it just stays that way.

Things I've tried:
Wiped before ROM install, then wiped again before Theme install. No luck.
Wiped before ROM install, no wipe before Theme install. No luck.
No wipe before ROM install, wipe before Theme install. No luck.
No wipe before ROM install, no wipe before Theme install. No luck.
Tried all this in both SPRecovery AND ClockworkMod Recovery. No luck.

Any ideas, 928Droid?

I'm impressed...again! you're one of those guys that don't know when enough is enough do you? thank god you don't know when to quit! =}

I am having a bit of an issue with the battery icon tho...I scanned the thread and didn't see this issue posted. I'm using SS 4.4 no theme version. Every other increment changes. 100% is green and horizontal, 90% is blue and vertical, 80% is green and horizontal, 70% is blue and vertical - etc. etc. Before installing Black Glass 2.2 FRF91, it was always blue. Is this by design or did I screw something up?

Keep up the excellent work!

There is a new version for SS coming soon that will resolve those issues and add a LOT more goodies.. :-)

I gotta be honest, I know you didn't intend for this alternating battery icon, but it's pretty freakin' cool!

I had this happen with myself one time when I didn't select wipe data in ROM manager when doing a manual restore of CM6 over another ROM.. I then used RM and installed fresh CM6 making sure I selected the wipe option and the problem didn't happen when installing the theme thru recovery.

BTW, you should never have to wipe when applying my themes over the correct ROM.

First time I've themed my droid, and it was very easy to do. I love the theme. Three issues I've noticed so far...

1. Black clock in the notification bar

2. Music app force closes on start up

3. Facebook won't sync contacts- I've tried to add the account to sync, it will not add. The widget seems to keep updated, but contacts won't.

I'm running plain old stock 84b.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommened you do a Factory Data Reset, install BB v0.4, then my Theme.

Facebook sync in Froyo 84b is a well know issue, nothing to do with my Theme. Do a search for fix.

Thanks for the quick response.

I love the theme, but am a little apprehensive about changing the ROM to BB. I had issues getting Touchdown to recognize that I had paid for it when I updated to 2.2, and I need that for work. I got it straightened out, but I'm not sure if going through it again will work out this time.

Any ideas on getting the Music app to run?

BB v0.4 is basically 84b iwth some stable enhancements, no worries. Regardless, you can use the "Clean84b" download from Droid-Life for Stock 84b as it is the most stable stock 84b IMHO.

This will also fix the Music app... be aure to ALWAYS download the latest versions from Post #1 , don't use older copies from your Phone and/or PC.

Well, see... that's weird, because I did wipe data/cache before installing a fresh CM6 ROM from RomManager. Would the selected launcher (I selected Launcher2 for the record) or selecting gapps have any effect on this?

Thanks for taking the time to respond! I'd REALLY like to get this theme working! I can't stand the stock look! I'm currently running kangerade and love the look, but there are a few instabilities with the ROM, hence why I'm trying to get CM6 themed so I can stand looking at it...Hahahaha!

Ok, just for the record, I just performed a fresh install of CM6 from RomManager (again), selecting Launcher2, Google Apps, and wipe data/cache. The phone is currently restoring applications and contacts (synching with my Google account). Going to try installing the theme again, and I will report back.

ALso just for the record...if the boot has the Nexus ani stuff...the Theme didn't get installed correctly..OR you are using one of my older versions...my current CM6 Theme uses the Droid Boot animation. ALWAYS be sure to get the lastest version from Post #1.

Get CM6 Stock all stable, then hold off on the Theme until the new "b" version is uploaded...Mediafire is being a pain at the moment, so it will be an hour or so before it is back up (gotta pay the bills with my real job for a while :-).

Ok. Just finished with trying to install the theme. It failed again like all the other times. Had to restore to another ROM.

So, just to he clear, I did download the latest theme as of last night (which I know is now outdated), but even with last nights download, it still was trying to bring up the Nexus One boot animation, although it still didn't succeed in bringing in any more than 2 short lines from the left side of the screen.

I'll wait and try again tonight when I get home with your newest theme update.

Post the File size of the Theme file you are trying to use.

I think you have some files mixed up, I haven't used the "nexus" boot ani since 3 versions ago....or your phone is jinxed. I just did a fresh install of CM6 and added my theme on and it works perfectly...did once more to be sure..

New "b" version is uploading.......currently at 65%....
