If you have only applied my Themes over Froyo just apply the latest and CORRECT version for the Froyo you are using (Odexed or Deodexed).

I tried everything, even rooted my wife's droid and just like mine, her text msg worked fine until the Black Glass install.

Its strange though. I can pick a contact, pick the text msg icon, write them a text and send it. I even sent myself a few text and they went through. But I could not see the text in the window after I sent them. And I got no notice till I closed the texting window. Right after closing it I get the "droid" sound and the message appears in the smoked glass at the top of the screen. But when I tap it I get (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly.

here is some info on my phone (before root)
KERNEL VERSION = 2.6.29 OMAP1-G7FA8788 / ANDROID-BUILD@APA26 # 1
BUILD # = ESE81
(after root kernel version = 2.6.32.9-g103d848)
build # = FRG01b)

I followed these instructions to root and install Froyo:

(the update screen during the FRG01B (Froyo 2.2) install said the file was from p3droid)

Looks like I will have to stick with basic Froyo.

Is the Froyo ROM you are running Odexed or DeOdexed? Do you know how to tell the difference?

Which Black Glass Theme Update did you intall , I need the EXACT file name.

Once each I did a basic Update install of Black Glass, the rest of the time I did a complete cache/data wipe and Froyo reinstall before doing the Black Glass update install.

(yeah, I started yesterday morning at 11AM. By noon I had froyo up and running. I was looking for Smoked Glass but found your theme instead. I tried every combo many times until 1:30 AM (this morning) So I am giving it up as not working for me...)

Installing those different Themes over each other is going to give nothing but trouble...you have created a miss-match of files and the ROM must be wiped and started over.

You MUST learn to know what EXACT ROM you are using before Installing a Theme.

Concernig n the "DeDexed vs Odexed Stock" ROMs it is really easy to verify.

Using Root Explorer or Astro or most any file manager app go to the System/app folder (this is not on the SDCard). Look at the file list.

Check the first 4 or five file names.

The first file is usually "AccountAndSyncSettings.apk" (if using alpha/name sort)

If you ONLY have file names ending with .apk it is a DeOdexed ROM...

IF you have .apk files with matching file names ending with .odex then you have an Odexed ROM... it's just that simple.

For example if you have AccountAndSyncSettings.apk AND AccountAndSyncSettings.odex , ten you have an Odexed ROM.

IF you only have AccountAndSyncSettings.apk and no matching odex file to this or (no file sending with ".odex" it is a DeOdexed ROM.

Once you know that you can chose the correct Theme file.. for stock FRG01b.

Note: Disregard this for Custom ROMs, they are all Deodexed.. BUT you must use the exact matching Theme update for the exact custom ROM you are using.

I highly suggest you go here FRG01B-DEODEXED-Release.zip and install this FRG01b deodexed ROM being sure to do a Data Wipe/Reset first , then Install my DeOdexed FRG01b Theme version. Then all your problems (related to my Theme will be gone.

Once I used the FRG01B ROM you posted, the Black Glass with the mms and Music are playing perfect!

Doing a little experimenting i tried to flash the cm6 rc1 theme over the new cm6 rc2 that came out overnight but it was a no go. It kept looping the bootanim. No matter... i think i'm going back to ss 4.5. It just feels like a smoother rom than even rc2 of cm6.

EDIT: Will not be Theming RC2...it's ...uh..well, not stable enough for me to spend the time on it. Will wait for next Stable CM6 Release.

You must be lucky or not pushing as many buttons as I am.

I can't theme something when it spontaneously reboots almost everytime I hit a button...it gets old quickly !!:icon_eek:

I was excited to see the new features too...until I pressed the button for them and the phone would reboot.

I even did a full wipe rest coming from my RC1 just to be sure on no problems and reflashed the Gapps fresh too.... May try again later if I get more time.
