[Theme] 928Droid "Black Glass" 2.2 for Froyo - Update.zip - MetaMorph - Back to Stock

yeah i can see that

kinda hard to figure out something if you reboot constantly. i havent installed it yet , had ran a nightly and couldnt get your theme to install on it so have been just testing different roms while you were working on your updates.

Have not seen the reboot isssues mentioned wonder if they have some funky kernal your phone doesnt like.

anyway keep up the great work.

have you seen the mix theme on ud 4.0 , i like the download arrow on that a little big but looks cool while downloading.

FYI, I never change kernels for a ROM I am theming, EVER. I use what comes with the ROM, it is the only way to know for sure everything works right.

Dont get me started on 4.0 , I tried to theme it yesterday...signal strenght was so bad I couldn't keep a lock long enough to download all the Market apps I need for theme testing... dumped it after two hours of messing with it and moved on :-)

Oddly when I loaded FRG01b after 4.0 my signal strenght was no problen and my Market apps synced in 15 minutes or less.

Go figure.

wierd didnt know a rom could effect signal strength but i gues if you tweak enough stuff it could.
for the kernal yeah thats what i meant maybe the stock kernal for rc2 doesnt like your phone.
but you obviously spend time tying everything we appreciate your work

AWESOME! I'm loving Black Glass! Cant wait to fix my wife's rom so I can load it on hers too.
I am trying to find the DeskClockGoogle.apk. Cant find it in the market. Do I have to download it and load it from the SD card?
Also the desktop bar that controls wifi and brightness, is that the Services.jar on your list?
Please! If you can let me know where to find them (for Froyo), they really make Black Glass look awesome!

DeskClockGoogle.apk is your stock Clock app, it is in the the apps Drawer as "Clock"

The "Desktop bar" is the Power Control widget...look in widgets.

Well, I was going to post a complaint about that certain launcher you seem to like to insert, but the Elliot Stocker Music app gets you a pass:)

Seriously, the amount of work you put into these, with no donation page other than a link to help someone else (donated what I could), you sir are a quality human being. Thank you for the frg deodex, and thank your for all of the time you put into "stuff" for us, and others.

And for the folks waiting for a theme for the rom of your choice, please be patient, and if you become impatient, please take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

Haven't seen you in a while, hope all is well!

BTW, you should really look at the features of the ADW...it is really nice. One of the main reasons is that I can backup my settings and shortcut layout within the app and thne restore them in 2 seconds after loading a new ROM or Theme.

Take a look at Menu> ADW settings>Backup and Restore..very handy.

If you really want to see how well it works for me and the settings I use just unzip the attached file and place the 2 files on the root of your SDcard, enter ADWsettings and select restore settings in ADW...you might just be converted... :-) I know you will like the "Naked" app Drawer from my settings :-)

Concerning Theming every ROM that is released, that is impossible for one person to do, esepcially when you have your own company to run. Basically I have to see stability in a ROM before I will Theme it. Note how long BB v0.4 and SS v4.5 have been running smoothly without "fixes"..not to mention the "Official" Froyo ROMs. This is what I look for in the ROMs I theme. Those that have to be and/or are updated every other day are less likely to get my attention to Theme them...sure as heck when I get finished a new version is out... that is an excercise in futility, at least for me.

Launcher Pro has the same feature for backing up settings. No doubt ADW is sound, but I get set in my ways sometimes:)

I too own my own business, so I am even more impressed with your efforts. Modding here, theming, your business and likely a family. That's a bunch of commitment. I have had a change in my business that requires a solid rom with full moto features, no beta testing, so I am trying to stay with "official" releases like the frg01. And I always fall back on your themes because they work. Sort of like Timex.
