[Theme] 928Droid "Black Glass" 2.2 for Froyo - Update.zip - MetaMorph - Back to Stock

If I had to upload that much using my 3G connection I would end up stabbing my eyes out with a spoon lol. It's the BuglessBeast v0.4 rev C download giving me issues. If it's not a global issue I'll just try again later. And please tell me you didn't have to idea 3G to upload!

I love the new updates that you put into this theme. It is more awesome now.

THANKS!!

I like the update. But did the power bar revert back to the non-color version?

Yes, it was too over the top for me..I can send you a Settings.apk with the colored ones you can push to system/app, just let me know exactly which Theme you are using.

Quick questions - how do you turn of the vibration in the keyboard app? And How do I get the cool keyboard that is in the screen shots?

Thanks.

Menu>Settings>Sound>Haptic Feedback..

Cool Keyboard??? You didn't read my whole Post #1 did you??? Bad, bad, kitty.....look in the 928Droid Folder on your Sdcard :)

How can I get the red buttons on the keyboard as shown above?

Thanks!! Made one! :)

i uninstalled maps from the market b4 flashing the theme but i don't have the new icons in the app drawer anyone else missing some new elements to Maps 4.4??? (using sapphire) i know there's seperate threads for each rom but wanted to ask this in the main thread

You should just use the version's Chevy did, I don't theme those particular apps anyway so it wouldn't matter that they look different.

OR, grab a copy of NinjaMorph and change them yourself, it is really easy.

Arrgh, I tried installing the .apk from Chevys ROM to the system/apps folder and it's definitely not themed now (because the little Droid icon next to the contacts status indicator in the list are now ghosted and behind the users quotes as opposed to bright green and on top of the quote text), but the scrolling notification text is still black as opposed to white how it was in the SS 4.x ROMs. So does this prove it's not an application specific setting? This leads me to believe that the code for the text in the notification bar would be universal for all notifications (as in an Android OS setting, not app specific setting).

Though I'm not a dev of any kind so you would know more about this than me, just me making observations. Can you tell me what apps you know will have white text in the notification bar for your theme so I can test it? Because I have yet to see anything but black text up there.

Again, not trying to criticize you or anything, your theme is still my fav so far :). I'm just trying to help you out.

Try to keep in mind I basically only change images...the Chevy's code is still there... If I were you I would reload the version of Chevy's ROm that gave you the options you request and verify that they were actually there...trust me, with all the ROM swapping we do some times we just think it was there...I know I do.

Hah, you really had me second guessing myself about it too. But I just re-installed SS 4.5 over top of itself (without wiping anything except cache which I do all the time to keep things speedy) and the notification text is back to white on black. Everything that gives notifications is white; meebo, screenmode widget, e-mail in Gmail and k-9, GTalk. So this further leads me to believe this is an Android OS file/setting because I don't think Chevy would have modified screenmode widget notifications since it's a more obscure app. But again, you would know more than me, heh.

Which version of 4.5 are you installing "normal" or "noTheme" ?

The normal/blue one with the seemingly same black notification bar up top. If it was the notheme/vanilla theme, black text would be good since the notification bar would be white :p.

Run this update over the "Normal" 4.5 you are using (not with my Theme)... and let me know if it works the way you want it..or not

ALSO, let me know if it has a tranparent Pull down notification screen... or not.

928DroidBlackGlass-SimplyStunning45-FrameTest.zip

Wow, sweet. That's perfect. White text on black bar for everything :D. That new WiFi icon is cool too. No, the pull down notification screen is black/opaque, not transparent. Was it supposed to be transparent?

So are you gonna patch the next update with this or should I just install this over top of your existing theme to fix it?

Thanks a lot, Dave!

OK, flash this one.... 928DroidBlackGlass-SimplyStunning45-FrameTest2.zip

Then, verify the previous stuff, including the Transparent pulldown.

THEN, flash my current BG 4.5 Theme, THEN the new Test2 update again on top of that.

Then verify all the previous stuff . If that works I will update the Theme and upload a new version.

You, sir, are awesome. I can confirm after installing SS 4.5 (blue themed), then installing your normal theme, then installing the Test2.zip, that my black notification bar now has perfectly legible white text for all scrolling notifications :D. Also, the notification pull down bar is transparent. You are safe to patch/update away on the OP listing (though I would still verify on your own Droid first ;)).
