Last SS 4.6 Theme included this advertised from Chevy?

5. IF you install a theme that has not been made SPECIFICALLY for 4.6, you will lose the Tools. services.jar has been HEAVILY modified, as well as Settings.apk.

That is smart! Every ROM DEV should have a warning like that in their ROMs.

This is why I take the extra time to Theme each ROM "manually" only changing the images files (and a few color files for the status bar/notifications if needed), that way you don't lose any features of the particular ROM.

Another smart thing Chevy does (he does a lot) is supply a "Themers Update.zip" with those heavily moddded files so we make sure to get it right..makes it much easier to Theme too!!

BTW, where did you see that "Advertisement" at? I have been using 4.6 since it came out and missed it..of course I was busy Theming it.

Yeah, again just plain smart to make sure to remind people...but it should be common sense, never use a theme not made for the ROM you are using.

If you look at Post #1 in my 928Droid Faq...I say the same thing.

I had to reinstall a bunch of stuff including this theme for bb 0.4. The contacts,phone, etc used to be see thru and i got used to that. Now it's just solid black which is nice but i miss the see thru theme. What did i do wrong? i thought i flashed version c

First off, the BB v0.4 Theme file should have a "c3" in the filename it if you are getting the latest version.

The Naked Contacts is now a seperate download due to feedback from a lot of people... this is stated in Post #1.....I update the text as well as the links occasionally.

Look in the Patches/Update area for the Naked (transparent) Contacts update zip file.

In reading Jrummy's lithium thread he said all themes are complete roms. Is this a complete rom, or should I flash the stock lithium ion rom, then flash this theme?

This is a theme.. Jrummy packages it all together for a rom to make it easier.

That was an "accident" and Jrummy said he is removing those links...the Only place to get "Bonafide" 928Droid Black Glass Theme is here in Post #1 of this thread and it is a Theme(only) update zip...I don't take other peoples ROMs and release them with my Theme...makes it hard for both the Themer and ROMer to propogate their repective updates/fixes and just creates confusion.

IF you are downloading a Themed ROM with 928Droid Black Glass it is unauthoized and you can bet it is not my latest version of Black Glass.

Earlier today I saw an update you posted for Lithium Mod. I noticed jrummy pulled the packaged version and I no longer see your them for his rom. Are you not supporting it or am I just missing it? Thanks

I am waiting for a couple of changes before putting it back up.. Hopefully he will get those done soon.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. I am running what you guys had initially posted and thus far have been extremely impressed. I had some FC issues with beautiful widgets but a market update seems to have cleared that up. I look forward to the next rev.

Just flashed this theme on my phone, rebooting now and I'm pretty excited about it! The screen caps look really good. Going to be trying it out on SS4.6.

i want to be able to appy the new update 1.3 but i'm pretty sure its not working because of the modded version.

Guys, show some patience, your Facebook will still work with out the upgrade.. I should have the new version done tomorrow along with all the newest Froyo stuff....you can wait and do it the easy way....or keep fighting it... OH, and if you uninstall the system version(which is why the buttom is grayed) the new version will install as a Market app...AND guess what, when my version comes out you will have to go the hassle of uninstalling the Market version....if you want to use my new Themed system version.

I was wondering if you have seen this new release by P3 over on MyDroidWorld? I know you will have a lot to do because of the new releases that have come out. I'm not sure what the difference is between FRG22 and FRG10B, but I'm sure we will hear more about it. Just a FYI!!!

not trying to be rude but I don't really care either way if that app is themed or not. I wanted to apply the update but it didn't seem to work. so I assumed it was because it was themed and I was right. I just wanted to know a way to uninstall the fb app. that's all. and I found it so no worries there. also I don't think uninstalling the one app is that big of a hassle.

Careful, I used titanium backup to uninstall the facebook app, and messed the phone up a little bit. I am using the Sapphire ROM, with the google apps package, and facebook is a system app. When I uninstalled it, it messed up all my contacts that I had synced. And even then it would not allow me to install the facebook for android update from the market. So ended up doing a wipe of the phone and re-installing all roms, because I was not sure which one had facebook. (I now know that it's in the google apps package that goes with sapphire) So we may have to wait for 928Droid to mod the new version. And that's fine with me, I can use curent version of Facebook until then. Keep up the great work 928Droid!

Thanks for all the hard work, and great themes. I wanted to change the Droid Does at the bottom of the notification window. I pulled the framework-res.apk, modified the status_bar_background.png, put it back in the .apk, resigned it then pushed it to the /system/framework directory. When I boot my phone, I can't see the wallpaper image on the lock screen. When I unlock the phone I get LOTS of foreclose messages for basic apps/processes like calendar, clock, gmail, etc. After these pass I can pull down my notification window, which has my new logo. When I start any apps, they all foreclose as well.

Any ideas?
