i did everything you said and installed the theme to simply stunning 4.6, this isnt the first time i did this...but now my phone is going through boot loops...i could really use some help...is there a way to get out of boot loops?

Start at the beginning...

What ROM did you come from before SS v4.6?

Did you a full Wipe/Data Reset?

Did you download and insall SS v4.6 ROM from Chevy's site first (not from my Thread) and was everything OK? What was the file name?

What exact file name of my Theme did you install?

Battery pull, reboot recovery, restore backup

im using clockwork mod...how do i get to restore back? do i do "wipecache/factory reset?"

i came from nextang by jrummy, i didnt do a full wipe, i made a nandroid backup, i got it from chevys site and i was fine. name: 928DroidBlackGlass2-2-SimplyStunning-4-6-c4-update. It worked fine but i ran a script of chevys...i think it was the SS Banner, i rebooted it and then it went into boot loops.

1. Turn off phone.
2. Hold "x" key on hard keyboard (do not release), then press and hold the power button.
3. When the "M" logo appears you can release both buttons.
4. In a few seconds the recover screen will appear.
5. Using the "Volume down" button, press it 5 Times (or) until "Nandroid" is highlighted.
6. Press the Camera Shutter Button once fully.
7. Using the "Volume down" button, press it 1 Time (or) until "Restore" is highlighted.
8. Press the Camera Shutter Button once fully
9. Using the Volume down button, scroll down to "Yes - Restore".
10. Press the Camera Shutter Button once fully to select
11. Using the Volume button, scroll to the backup you want to restore.
12. Press the Camera Shutter Button once fully
13. Let it do it's thing..take a few minutes.
14. If the screen doesn't come back up with "Reboot Phone" highlighted, press the power button one click at a time until it does.
15. When "Reboot Phone" is highlighted press the Camera Shutter buttom fully.

Old news...already working on it.. the nice folks at Sapphire sent me an advance copy and asked me to Port my theme to it Wish more DEVs were like that!!

BUT, I promised everyone FB 1.3 first.

I have always wondered why more devs didn't partner up with the theme devs to release a finished product from day 1. That would make more sense. I sure like how team Saphire is gearing up on their stance. I have always been a CM fan, still am, but Saphire is really getting my attention more and more.

If all they weould do is let us know which apps were changed in the new version it would save TONS of time theming the new versions.

Chevy did that (and even supplied a zip with only the changed files) with 4.6..it was SO nice!!

I agree the Sapphire stuff is nice..and smooth, IMHO they have a big future ahead if they continue on path.

Gotta go..looks like Sapphire Theme might beat FB Theme to release... I am changing a LOT of images in FB.. so during reboots and phone tests of the results I am working on S-1.

Installed Deodex 982BlackGlass FRG22 Theme
Gmail now force closes and will not start
Anyone else having this issue? Anyway to reinstall Gmail App.

Installed Deodex 982BlackGlass FRG22 Theme
Gmail now force closes and will not start
Anyone else having this issue? Anyway to reinstall Gmail App.

My Gmail is working fine. I also wiped 3 times before installing. I'm having some weird issues with Set CPU not reading the max on a kernal.

If you have Titanium Backup, use it to Wipe Cache on just the Gmail app.

Reboot and try it then. It is probably because of the newer version of Gmail and you Phone wasn't wiped between the install of the old Gmail and the new one.

As a rule I generally wipe Cache on every install just to avoid little issues like that. It is nothing like doing a full wipe Data/Reset, you will never really notice you did it as far as mssing apps etc... just cleans all the old junk out and gives you a better performing phone with the new stuff.

If you don't have Titianium (you should) reboot into recovery and just wipe cache...should not really effect anything and also helps to refresh the Market and other stuff....at least in my experiance.
