[Theme] 928Droid "Black Glass" 2.2 for Froyo - Update.zip - MetaMorph - Back to Stock

FYI, minor tweeks to "Black Edition" Facebook v1.3.1 , recommend you snag it in 928Droid Black Glass "Extras" Download folder.

File name will have "1.3.1a" in it. New version got rid of some more "white" areas that looked out of place, also now has Black Glass "alphabettic name dividers" in "Friends" instead of the boring grey dividers :-)

Look for a "Black Edition" Gmail 2.2.1 and Twitter app next :-)

I am so happy to get rid of all the "white background" stock apps...it's hard to sneak around at night with those white screens blaring in the dark night :-)

First I would like to say I Love the work you do and this theme is the NUTS.
I just up dated to the new Face Book V1.3.1 the only thing that I can see that might need a little bit of change is when you hit the refresh button the thinking icon is not visible so I don't know if it is refreshing or just siting there , is there any way I fix it so I can see the icon again?

Thanks!!

Now that you mention it I noticed that too since the 1.3.1 update..I looked thru all my revisions of it and there is no image file in the apk for that.....hmmm..I wonder if removing that was part of the "battery issue". I do recall in v1.3 it seemed to "run" a long time.

I am curious now, gonna uninstall my system version and download a fresh Market verion and see if it does it or not... I know TheBowers did a huge amount of code changes for the inversion, and I created a bunch of new images, almost 80% of the stock images were replaced. I also strip out the "non-droid" resolution folders to reduce the size of the apk...doesn't matter to me if the apk now only works on Droid Resolution, ha, ha :-)

Will get back to you if I find anything that I can fix to make that happen again. One thing I have noticed, if there is a sync issue or the sync is too slow, it will let you know about with toast pop-ups.

Thanks Dave, I agree 100%. Glad to see more and more black glass looking applications.

That's basically what you do with framework-res.apk too isn't it?

No the framework is already Droid spcific...but most Market apps are "one for all android phones" and usually have a lot of "Fat" in them that can be trimmed. Some Market apps have folders for up to 3 different screen resolutions, so basically you have 3 times the images needed and 3 times the total images file size.

No go on the Facebook refrsh "spinner" the Market version does have it but for some reason this one doesn't . I verified my images were not the issue, will ask TheBowers to look at his Modded code.

BUT, while I was in there I made some more tweeks to the widget and app, well worth the download/install. File is in Extras Download Folder now , look for "1.3.1d" in the file name. I think you will like the changes.

Gonna go visit my brother for a while, catch you guys later.

Have a great weekend,

Thanks for getting back to me. I have taken a second look at the app and run the refresh probably 10 times in a row and found that the icon is there but it is the same color as the bar it is in. If you look next to the search icon to the left of the search icon you are going to have to kinda squint to see it but there it is letting you know it is doing something.
I hope that this will help.

That is what I assumed, when he "inverted" the code, the spinner got inverted also.. it is now black instead of white. Will ask if just that can be returned to white.

The spinner is part of your framework. Are you sure it was a white spinner on a blue background before. I didn't change anything for the spinner.

Yes, I downloaded/installed fresh unthemed market version and white spinner was there..same phone, same theme, only change was themed Facebook to Market Facebook.

I found what "I" did change, that made the spinner black. To tell you the truth, I'm not that worried about it. Here is the reason. When I change that setting back you get white borders around all of the status update. Around all your friends and just about any screen that has a list. So right now I can deal without the spinner.

Thanks for looking into that....I found a solution... I am adding the RED spinner from the Droid X...it is WAY cool !

Thanks for all the work looking for the problem. I think that the red spinner looks the nuts on the black in your screen shot.
I would like to let you know that I did not mean to cause so many problems with this missing spinner but it looks like it is all fixed and looks great.
One last thing is the down load for the update in the same folder as the last one and I am guessing that the file name it is going to end in E

:)

No worries, I am glad you caught it, it is impossible for one person to catch everything like that.

"d" is latest update for FB...red spinner requires Framework-res.apk update. I want to redo the spinners and make them more my own today (I have something cool in mind), then I am most likely gonna do a full update for all Full Theme versions tonight and it will have that included along with the FB, GT, apps etc in the full Theme updates. Will likely be a full "d revision"...

No promisies, but that's the "plan".
