[Theme] 928Droid "Black Glass" 2.2 for Froyo - Update.zip - MetaMorph - Back to Stock

I am not pestering simply sending you a reminder... LFY needs your love... hope the donation eases your pain.
Just to give you an example of how time consuming this can be...
I last posted at 12:48.. and I already had started on this "little " project.
Since I had redone the the ADW App Drawer button icons to a brushed aluminum look, now the navigation dots being just white weren't gonna cut it..at least for me...
Soooo... I created a new "brushed aluminum dot" from scratch... and then started creating the 72 images needed to change this in ADW....YES, 72 images JUST for those little navigation Dot!!! (36 landscape mode, 36 Portrait mode). Each dot image is left and right specific AND since I want the brushed look to be oriented properly when you look at it , they are also Landscape and Portraint specific!!!
SOOOO...approx. 3 hours later I am finished creating 72 dot images (please all the trial images to get the "Dot" to look right......and am pleased with the results...lucky because I got it right the first time...which is usually not the case and I have to start all over again....AND this was just for some simple little DOT images...not complex or even 9 patch compiled images!!!!
What most don't realize is for EVERY botton or image you press there are actually 3-4 images required.. "Normal, Pressed, Focused, Disabled... so in this case each dot required 3 matching files that are (in this version) changed to various types of red for the presses and focused versions (you can see this in the File Manager shot below)
SOOOooo the next time you are bugging a Themer about releases that does the level of detail I do (I can think of 4 or 5 here on DF)....come back and read this post....and think twice.
Don't get me wrong, I am not Bcn, just I don't think some of you reall.y understand the work that goes into some themes here on DF.
Here are the results... plus a File Manager shot of just the Portait images I had to create from scratch...double that for the Landscape versions.

If I have EVER came off like I was trying to rush you for ANYTHING, please accept my apology! Your themes are the best and I know how detailed and particular you are about themes and that's why they are the way they are! I know 98% of us have NO clue what it takes to do what you and the others do to bring us the amazing themes...FREE!! Thanks for everything!!!

AND you know what REALLY TICKS ME OFF..... no, not you guys wining for releases....
I just get FINISHED with this ADW Theme...and I get a notification of a NEW VERSION on the Market after my last post....hopefully the "formatting" hasn't changed (sometimes it is) ...and I won't have to redo the images in a different format.......

Dave, you rock, and I loved your theme way back when I couldn't get the text to work right on a stock-rooted FRF84B leak. I've been waiting patiently (ha ha!) for a CyanogenMod 6 final release so I could get your theme back on my phone, so I haven't been visiting this thread much for fear of being reminded of how much awesome I've been missing.
Apparently I've been missing more awesome than $.05 wings on dollar draft night. You, sir, deserve a dancing banana.

WOW!! this is some nice looking work!! i'm running LiQuID FroZeN right now, so i can't try it - but when i decide to switch roms (i'll probably get bored in a few more days) i'll definitely give it a go - keep it up!!!

Dave, I am sending you another donation even though I can't use your theme because I have switched to Liquid. The ROM just runs like a champ on my phone. I am a big fan of yours and think your work is BY FAR THE BEST. All ROMS would benefit from your work and should really extend a hand to you.

Thanks for the Donations, as you know there certainly are neccassary or even encouraged..BUT they are always appreciated!!
Concerning ROMs like Liquid, I like to see a little track record before I go thru the effort and spend my time Theming a Custom ROM, writing up the details/announcements, making custom Graphics etc... As you have have noticed some ROMers come in for a little while, make a splash and then siliently slide away. Even long time ROMers can take a break for a while. If you haven't noticed, LithiumMod Dev has "taken a break" so has the Dev for Insanely and a few others. It is hard for me to justify my precious time Theming any ROM when even the Devs are not supporting them any longer...it makes more sense to put my time into Theming those ROMs that have "legs" and are gonna be around and supported log term as I plan to do the same for my Theme.
I don't have to mention names all you have to do it read, but I will only be putting in the time and effort for the ROMs that are IMHO here for the long haul for you guys. I can say names like CyanogenMod and Simply Stunning come to mind...also Sapphire is certainly showing a lot of prefessionalism and I think they will be around for a long time. The Android world is sort of finicky sometimes and even long term guys like the Bugless Beast team seems to be AWOL. Don't want to open a debate about all of this and it really isn't any of my business except when it comes to me making decisions about which ROM to theme or not.
I will say I am watching Liquid and have heard a lot of good feedback so far and it is on the list, keep in mind it has only been here on DF for a week or so??? BUT, I have to get the Main ROMs like SS, CM, CVPS, etc and of course the Official Android ROMS updated first and then work on adding others.
As I have mentioned before and will say it again, I am considering UD, but would like to see their updates stabilize more before putting all the effort in, watching so far and historically, about the time I would get finished with a Theme for UD, a new version is released. IF they would do a "Themers Update.zip" that shows us ONYL which files are changed from one release to the next it would be more attractive to me. I am not talking about a "no Theme" stock version that some call a Themers version, but one like Chevy does for SS that is azip for us that only has the files that were changed. This says HUGE amounts of time...it is also why SS 47 will probably come next, just to show my support and appreciation for efforts like that.
Just as a heads up, since the LithiumMod Dev has just stated here they are "Taking a Break", it has been moved to the bottom of my lists, same goes for Insanely and any others that are "Taking a Break".

Well your insight as always is appreciated oh Wise one. You are like the Jedi master of themes! I will wait and not be persuaded by the darkside until I can't handle it any longer and eventually go with a ROM just to have your theme.... like you said, it has only been a week of Liquid... but what a long week without 928droid it has been! I am torn between 2 lovers.... a Perfect THEME or a Perfect ROM for my little Droid.... woe is me....
