[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for Droid X !!!

Ok, so I just installed this theme on my leaked 2.2 froyo, and I was very nervous about doing it. It installed without a hitch. Thanks, yall do some remarkable work on these themes and hacks.

Now all I have to do is figure out why my phone get stuck on the M logo when I have to reboot. It did this before I installed the theme, so no worries there. I'm just not sure why it keeps doing this. Other than that, I'm loving the new theme so far.

I did notice that when you pull the notification bar down only half the date shows. There is a little box that is lighter and only half the date shows up, but I'm not worried about that. Thanks keep up the good work guys.

oh ya, this was the oxd theme that I installed, not the deoxed theme. Not sure if I want to try to attempt that yet. all the adb and codes gets me a little confused.

I can also confirm the date issue in the pull down. I imagine it will be fixed before I get time to check on it again lol.

Thanks gys!

Welcome to the World of an Odexed Theme, you can't imagine the work and compromises it takes to get it look and work as good as it does when you can't edit files like services.jar and others because they are Odexed.

FYI, I am one of the only Themers that will even mess with a Stock Odexed Theme to this level...This release is actually the best "Odexed Compromise" I have ever acomplished, it is what it is and you gotta live with it ....or go DeOdexed (in the oven cooking) :)

Let me know if you ever figure that one out, I have the same problem and it is what has slowed down my 2.2 Development. I had to "tip toe" during the whole time I did this 2.2 Odexed Theme and was able to Theme the whole ROM without a single full reboot (because I knew what would happen, the dreaded "M" screen)...still can't beleive I pulled that off.

EDIT, by the way, when did you get your Droid X and can you get the code on the back sticker (under battery), mine is "HW A" TTY?... there appears to be a pattern emerging of a relationship between build date and this "M" reboot issue with Froyo.

928,
As I stated before this version was released...excellent job! Finally had a few minutes to install! As usual, expectations exceeded! I too, have the same thing happen with the date on the notification bar...no big deal though. If I notice anything else, I will be sure to post. Thanks again for the professionalism and attention to detail!

I would take it a step further and say that you're one of the only themers that will take a theme this far.... period, odexed or not. I'll put FlyX back on my phone after you finish your deodexed version :)

Don't worry, it's coming REALLY soon...

This is like lying in bed, wide awake, waiting to hear the patter of reindeer hooves on the rooftop, hoping to catch a glimpse of the fat guy in the middle of the night on December 24th.....

Ugh! You know, I have NexTheme and REVOlution, and keep switching between them - two excellent themes. But this, this Black Glass on Froyo for the X, this is just shear genius! Perfection!

mine is the same "HW A TTY", sounds like your correct on the pattern, but I installed froyo the first time, and had no problems at all, even on boot. but then while moving some files around to remove bloatware, I moved something I was not supposed to on accident. After that went thru a long list of problems of getting it back to where I was, still not as good, but close enough for me. Not sure if this had something to do with it or not, but like I said the first time no problems at all even on boot.....haha now im on the "M" again after installing the battery to find out that code...lol....he we go! dancedroid

09/02/10 - NEW! 928Droid Black Glass X for 2.2 DeOdexed Froyo released!!!

Enjoy!

RIGHT ON..

hey is this one gonna over write anything 928? ive got my rom and file tweaked pretty nice right now. also a BUNCH of apps i dont wanna reinstall. lol. what do i need to do, JUST to install the themes?

i see that inside system..you have some things like geniewidget.apk..wwhere as on my rom they are renamed .bak am i right that its only gonna over write what is included in the zip file? so i could rename them inside the zip file to match my current rom, and it would be ok?

also, that doesnt look like a list as big as the factory /system/app ? is that right?
