hey is this one gonna over write anything 928? ive got my rom and file tweaked pretty nice right now. also a BUNCH of apps i dont wanna reinstall. lol. what do i need to do, JUST to install the themes?

i see that inside system..you have some things like geniewidget.apk..wwhere as on my rom they are renamed .bak am i right that its only gonna over write what is included in the zip file? so i could rename them inside the zip file to match my current rom, and it would be ok?

also, that doesnt look like a list as big as the factory /system/app ? is that right?

Please read Post #1, the list of system apps that are themed are all there.

Since this is a THEME and not a ROM, all of the Factory apks are never included, only the apks that are Themed.

No guaranties on having to reset and or log back in to anything. It that is too much trouble you better stick with stock

oh it aint stock, its been modded alot! i was just waiting for your them to come out so i could overlay it..but now i cant get it to install and i dont know why, and i think im gonna cry lol.

woot...right on, i still have my boot animation, my wallpaper, etc... i deleted some of the files from your update that i had turned off on my rom (genie widget, social share, twitter, facebook, couple others) everything else seems to be as normal! Just much much much prettier! new status bar, etc...good work! looks excellent

also went and looked at the build file, and disregard the pm, i had the wrong file origianally. it had 2-2x in the name so i thought that was the droid x one, and i didnt look anymore.

OK, I just downloaded the Deodexed file and installed it on my DX. I have the new lock screen, status bar and settings menu but nothing else has changed. I am using ADW Launcher. I chose the default theme. I don't see any difference in the icons for the stock apps. Also there is no wallpaper for the Black Glass theme? I was hoping to get the wall paper you had for the 2.1 Black Glass theme.

my adw toolbar didnt change (to the one that had the circle with red arrow like 2.1)

didnt know if that was include..


to get the wallpaper, press and hold on the screen and go to the bottom wallpaper option..it is in there

also the quick search bar didnt change...again, didnt know if that was include.. but the 2.1 version was fly.

It state in Post #1 that the ADW Launcher is not included in the Themes any Longer, it is a separate download. I haven't made an "Extras" Folder yet, for now the ADW Themed Launcher is in the 2.1 Droid X Folder.

How are the odexed and deodexed versions different? I mean, other than the obvious... Do they run or look any different? Is one better than the other? Or are they pretty much the same?

i think they are the same, just made for different roms..

i think the de odexed rom runs faster.

i hate that friggin google icon showed up when i resized the screen ..imma have to fix that. you can get your icons placed better when you change the factory columns and rows.

Well for those that wondered if it can be installed on Birdmans FlyX, for now it seems to be working fine for me. I was afraid that because some of the apps themed are not in his rom that maybe that would create trouble but haven't gotten any errors yet, (crosses fingers). I have a nandroid backup so was ready to restore if it went bad lol. Great work as always 928

Ps. I am not a great source, as I am new to android lol. But I am just reporting that it is working for me, might not work for all as it is not stated that it is for Birdmans rom.

Other than the Status Bar Clock/Date color, and transparent pulldown in the DeOdexed, visually they are the same...

The biggest difference is I can replace stock apps with other Versions. For example in the DeoDexed version I am using the newest GMail 2.2.1 , plus my Black Edition Multi-Touch Keyboard (all black keys), plus my Black Edition GTalk, and a few other app swaps. I will also be able to change out the Music app to the cool Elliot MusicMod version.

With DeoDexed there aren't many limits to what I can do.....with Odexed my hands are tied in a lot of ways.

I have no doubt it will work with that, when I last looked at it, as far as themes are concerned, it is just Deodexed 2.2 with some apps removed so there should be no difference in using my Theme with it...

WOOHOO!!! Beautiful Work. Now if I only knew what applications to use to edit themes.... Any hints? All Hexing the xml's?
