928 Black Glass X Deodexed r2 release broken link?

Hey,

First off let me start off by saying this is the best theme for the X. I've been using the first release since 9/1 over Flyx froyo and its worked great. Got really excited to update over to the 9/5 Deodexed r2 release but when ever I click on the support link for the Zip file it says no data availble on servers and just has processing request. Any chance you can look into this. I can't wait to get my X upgraded to your newest version Black Glass Theme. Thanks again for all your hard work and efforts.

**Just a thought as I said this works really well with birdman's Flyx over at Droid Life. I think it would be killer if you and birdman worked together getting your 928blackglass theme over his Flyx and have it put all in one Rom and made avaible on Rom Manager.

Concerning combining Themes and ROMs, I am strongly against that. While it might be a few clicks less the first time you install the combined Theme ( I usually install ROM and then Theme update zips back to back in Recovery or ROM manager at the same time) ...the problem arrises when I update my Theme or the ROM maker updates something on the ROM.. trying to keep those coordinated would be a nightmare...and guess who would suffer???? You the user...because you would have to wiat for one or the other to be combined once again so you could update it. Just think how many updates I have done to my Theme in just the last week...trying to coordinate that with a specific ROM and/or it's update would slow all the updates down to a crawl. The more coordination you have to have between multiple sources/people the slower the whole process becomes.

Concerning having my Theme on ROM manager is sort of the same story..while it might make things just a little easier or convienent to get the Theme , you will be missing out on all the important update details, tips, tricks and support found in my Theme Threads. This is why it is important to get everything in ONLY one place....in the end it is to make your experience with my Themes actually easier, more "solid", more up to date and trouble free.

Thanks for the quick response, I'm not suprised you've had some many downloads for your theme, This is the best theme for the Droid X, smooth and clean and just alot of great work put in.

I just tried the google docs link you posted and its down do to technical difficulties right now too. I guess I will wait until you have the main link up and rolling again. Looking forward to downloading the X 928Droid Black Glass R2 release as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Quick question Droid 928, Did you theme Swype in the Black Glass X R2 release? I found it themed out on XDA it looks pretty sweet with red and Black glass keys.... I just rather download anything else themed other then 928Droid Black Glass suite!!

No it's not themed, the one posted on XDA is awesome I thought that Dave had done it, it's a total match.

I have the file but can't install it, tried everything I know today too, I'm sure it's a simple process and I overlooked something.

DX Swype Red and Black theme!

No it's not themed, the one posted on XDA is awesome I thought that Dave had done it, it's a total match.

I have installed the Swype theme from xda is a process but I finally figured out. Assuming your rooted Froyo, Here is what I did..

A bit of a process but if your as determined as I was to get this themed Swype on your phone to match up to 928Black Glass then this should not be too much of a pain... dancedroid


Open Root Explorer
- System/Apps
* locate Swype apk (make a copy it and place in a download folder on SD card)
- delete Swype apk in system/apps from root explorer
- reboot phone
- Open root explorer again, install your Swype apk copy that you placed in your download folder on your SD card
- Now go to settings/Applications/Manage Applications and uninstall the swype you just installed
- Final step ** Find where you placed the Theme Swype apk from XDA and just install from astro or file manager as you would install any other apk file.

No longer have the Link for this theme at XDA, if someone wants it you may need to do a little searching for it but its there..

That is normal for Google Docs, it can't scan a file over 40mb... just go ahead and select Download anyway. Besides, Google Docs is the only one that even tries to scan files.... bypassing this is no different from downloading anywhere else.
