[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for Droid X !!!

Just wondering how to install theme? I know 99 pages later is not good I just like to double check? I believe I need to just install ROM from SD card? I don't remove data/cache then just go and it was replace any file with the theme.

Also anyone know how to get back to 100% stock rooted ROM. I would like to start fresh for black glass?

I'm too scared to flash SBF

The back to stock deodex leaves some icons themed. For instance twitter is still themed as black glass when I used the back to stock deodex. How can I get rid of that to try other themes?

I really believe if you really study post one, all your your fears of updating this Theme will be resolved.

If it were me i'd delete Twitter then reinstall it from the market. This way you'll have the original (boring) app and not the really nice 928Droid Twitter app.

So I used titanium back up because root explorer wouldn't work. Now I can't install twitter from appbrain, says unsuccesful.

This is what I had to do with cardock.apk I found the file off the Internet. or from a different PLAIN ROM . I then used root explorer . I put the APK into the /system/app directory. I then changed permissions to match the other APK's in folder. Then reboot.

Question: I am getting a control file missing error on metamorph, Haven't seen any one having this issue. Is there a reason i would be getting this error. I have tried dl the file on computer and coping it to phone, and have also dl the file directly on my phone and either way i get the error. I do have usb debugging on, so don't know why this is happening. Any thoughts?

Tell me EXACTLY what you are doing with the file after you DL it to your Phone.... step by step.

Having the same problems as this guy. OTA 2.3.15 deodexxed version. D/l to phone, copied to sdcard root, unzipped/extracted to same. (had to set phone down during extraction, when I went back it was done, I had no box saying it was force closed), opened metamorph, clicked existing theme, it asked about the .XML file, couldn't find one ANYWHERE. Restarted metamorph, no matter which I clicked to replace our update theme it would come up with the control file missing error. Even tried extracting again, it looks like it's doing it then stops saying 0 bytes copied so I'm assuming everything copied correctly. I've followed instructions from OP to a T a far as I can tell. Any suggestions? Thanks, can't wait to get this bad boy working so I can drool even more, not just from the screens!

I tried that after you mentioned it. I did a backup before starting the whole process and it just booted into that.
