I don't think so. Tried everything I can think of. Used ROM manager. "install rom from sd card", directed it to the update.zip, it went through the reboot right back to the stock screen.

Have you tried wiping your cache using Koush tool ???
Possible you may have a bad D/Led 928 file ???
What Rom have you flashed to if any ???
HAVE you deleted a program that THE THEME is trying to update? You may need to do the "Back to Stock" Theme before you can use the Full Theme if you have deleted a program thats on the list of themed program in post one .......

hey guys...can someone tell me if im supposed to have 200 pictures on my sd card from this theme?? it didnt happen a while back when i had the leaked version and theme. is there anyway that i can hide them? or if they are not used can i delete them?
also, was the compass calibration color changed? i cant get it to turn green, only red..i didnt know if that was part of the theme as well. thanks

In my DCIM folder I had cleared out all my pics, no issues.
What are the pictures of?? please don't post them ...just a general question ???
What file are they in the DCIM folder?

Im running the stock OTA 2.3.15 rooted. I haven't deleted anything. I tried d/l the file again. Did everything in my previous post, unzippimg, etc. Re-read and re-watched a video on rom manager, and I was doing everything correctly. Go into it to "install mod from sd card" direct it to update.zip I tried both ways wiping data and cache and backing up current rom, and not. When it reboots it just goes right back to stock.
Hummm. What do you mean by "Unzipping" ???
Theirs no unzipping to do....just place d/l file on sd card let Koush tool do its thing...
Its got to be a simple error.

You sir are correct! /me feels like an idiot! Especially after touting my reading abilities. Now since I did unzip the file what can I do to undo what was unzipped or what should be deleted? There's got to be something there that's causing my problems.

I would guess that the unzipped stuff may be smeared over the sd card ???
Get the Theme working correctly then clean what you can off the sd card.
A format of the sd maybe rather hash but personally I like to clean house couple time a year and start over BUT it can be a hassle !! Rainy day job ...
Happy to hear that your having some success..I tend to make the easy things hard also but the stuff you learn can be valuable

Thanks kd. you've been a real encouragement so far! No dice even after deleting what I could find was extracted from the zip, and d/l another file. Still goes into reboot after selecting update.zip in rom manager and no progress bar at the "M", boots into stock. Could there be a problem in the deodexxed version and should I try the odexxed one or would it matter? Or should I try d/l a different rom instead of the stock ota 2.3.15 and if so which would give me similar results as far as flash support? As far as getting the theme to work it's just not happening. Thanks!

I had tried the Tranquility Theme and didn't care for it so I tried to go back the the 928droid theme. No matter what I did it kept booting into the Tranquility Theme. (sound familiar?)
So as a last resort I did a restore using the Koush tool ,success
.The Restore brought me to where I was before I tried the 928Droid Theme ,guess that why they call it a "restore" lol
From there I was able to get back to the 929Droid theme with zero issues.

I was sure moderators here and at Google were going to ban me for "excessive use of the search function" I stumbled on this thread: Rom manager not booting into recovery Uninstalled and reinstalled bootstrap recovery and that was it! Clockwork mod worked like it was supposed to. Had to copy over 928's theme again as the update.zip got replaced but that was it!
Man there should be a sticky somewhere or a notation that that could be an issue. But I guess more experienced users know that. Thanks for all the help, and for being patient with me. I learned a lot in the process too!

Finally made the jump from the first leaked 2.2 to the official OTA 2.2. SBF'd and did a wipe cache/data started with a fresh 2.1. Installed OTA and rooted using the D2 method, used the one that de'odexed the phone and put the Black Glass on. Must say I like this one even better than the one on the leaked 2.2. Did an amazing job on this one I must say, keep it up.
