[THEME] Black Juice for rubiX Focused 1.6 - Final

how do i do that ;)
please link me or give me a tutorial.
im such a retard

We all make mistakes. Once you get your phone back to a rooted stock OS state, I would recommend getting ROM Manager (ROM Manager - Android app on AppBrain) from the market to make backups of your boot images before you flash anything else to the system. Any time I add a theme or change ROMs, I make a backup just in case. Also, I would recommend getting Titanium Backup (Titanium Backup ? root - Android app on AppBrain). This tool allows you to backup and restore your applications and data.

This theme only works with the rubiX Focused ROM. Did you make a backup beforehand? If nonot, you need to sbf back to stock Froyo.

Verizon won't help you. Well, they'll gladly sell you a new phone because you voided your warranty when you rooted.

I think you can safely flash the "partial" 2.2 SBF, but you should download both just in case. DO NOT try to flash the 2.1 SBF. In fact, don't even download it -- or, if you have delete it -- as it will cause massive, unrecoverable damage to your phone if you flash the 2.1 SBF on top of the 2.2 OTA (which I assume you were running before your trip down Droid Freak out Lane).

When flashing your SBF, read and follow each step very, very carefully.

Seriously, really carefully.

The thread below is your bible, and I suggest you post any further questions about your phone troubles there, as it's a more appropraite thread:

I think you should put the battery in the phone and plug it into the wall so it can fully charge before you do anything else. Give the thing a full 2 hours to charge. Really: plug it in and leave it alone for 2 hours. You can use that time to read the thread I linked above, and find/download the appropriate files.

Again, you should really ask the folks in the thread I linked to above, as that thread and that forum are for tech support -- this is a thread about a (really sweet, btw) theme.

Based on what you've said, I honestly think you'll be fine after a battery charge and a SBF flash. Sure, you'll be back to square one with a fully Stock DX, but that sounds like a better square than the one you are on now.

Good luck!

I agree in full, but am wishing I could read the buttons without squinting; it makes it hard to wait patiently wait for the next release...

Juicemane: If I buy you a whole 6-pack o' beer then will you tell us where the button text color is in your ROM?? ;)

juicemane - I just appiled the theme to rubix 1.8 - so far everything is working great

are you going to be looking at changing this theme to have an official version for 1.8 or is it similar enough that the current version will do just fine?

WHOA! You never said there were beers on the line...

Pretty sure that the button text color is held in:
framework-res/res/layout/status_bar_latest_event_content.xml

Code:
<com.android.server.status.ExpandedView android:orientation="vertical" android:focusable="true" android:descendantFocusability="afterDescendants"
  xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
    <LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:background="@drawable/status_bar_header_background" android:paddingTop="3.0dip" android:paddingRight="3.0dip" android:paddingBottom="5.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content">

Swype is included in every Focused version so far I believe.. (?).
Since you asked this in theme thread.. not sure if you're asking if it's supported by ROM, or if it's themed, or ? :)

Just asked about the reboot logo because there is a new app for rooted users that allows you to change it. Still learning about themes and stuff..........I'm still waiting to root , can you post a link that gives a step by step on how to install this rom/theme? Thanks in advance

Looking at your post I would say that is a good guess. But the RGB values have been compiled and I am not sure how to edit it or change it and recompile. Thanks for your help (again) Sephtin, but I guess I will just have to be patient (unless you have a link for compiling ;), I'm always up for learning).

^ Ill fix it guys, No worries. I need to test this against the new build of Focused so while I'm doing that Ill get the text sorted. Ive been so busy at work its insane, we had to reimage 400 PC's with Win 7 pro. Its been a PITA lol.

^ It will be the same as the version for 1.6 except for the button text issue and maybe a few other tweaks. Everyone seems pretty happy with everything (except the button text) so Ill fix that and test asap and get it pushed out for you guys :)
