back to stock I go. app by app.. then install True blue over it till it doesnt work. then, take keep that app in but take one I already tested out to see if it switched or stays broken..

When comparing your app APK sizes to UDv2.3's... Contacts, Phone, & Vending are much larger thanthe originals...

I now see what you meant... you also added APKs for Dolphin and others that were also friggin huge!!... that explains why some of your install didn't apply over other themes that might have larger APKs than the stock UD ones.... and same with other themes not applying everything over yours because you had extra APKs that weren't being overwritten by the new themes, but still taking up huge amounts of space...

Now we're on the same page X...

I was trying to take the path less chosen.. so to speak... I wanted to do apps no one else does.. but with chrome images, it comes at a price.. and that price is size.

I wopuld start with the three I mentioned since it's already a part of UD2.3, but are much larger.... find a way to make those PNG sizes smaller I guess. ... then compare your added APKJs with those originals and see which got much larger and see if they can also be reduced?

That's about all I can think of myself...

EDIT: is the size increase due to the layers you add to each image?

yep.. to make a chrome theme.. I have to go 4 layers deep and then I merge the visible layers into one. PITA and time consuming but.. its just a price I pay..lol

hey Adroid. Thanks for the logo. I'm talking about when you tap the menu button and the small menu pops up at the bottum of the screen. I'm sorry if this has already been addressed but I'm also trying to fix the constent flash issue in the camera app that people are finding with ud2.3
I had market all afternoon before he I flashed the theme. I think that we all need to buy X a beer when he finally gets this figured out cuz this is a great theme and he deserves it. It's gotta be hard trying to keep up with rom updates all of the time.

Before you give up on adding all your APKs, try first changing all your PNGs from RGB to indexed..... it usually reduces the file size a good amount while still retaining the image quality on a basic chrome color... maybe even to grayscale...that should also reduce file size of each PNG
