It is great (sometimes) for little changes like a few graphics but when it comes to an entire ROM theme it takes forever to run, sometimes reboots on you, and sometimes doesn't apply items. ill take your word for it because i have never themed my phone entirely using metamorph

bamick823 - Right now I have the "new" phone app in the version online only because I didn't wanna use the old one that has screwy graphics. If you like Black & Bold you can always port if yourself? Might be a task as i know bowers edits XMLs a bit. Try my Luna Theme out, i dig it haha...

Sorry my man as I know nothing about porting. Would like to know but still kinda a newbie at this. I'm a expert rom and theme changer though. And its harder for me as I use sprecovery and for some reason I get and error 31 code all the time. The only way I have found to fix it for a install is to copy my backup to my computer and delete the nandroid folder off my SD card. Then make a new nandroid folder and put the backup back in it and BAM it works

What I have is the original dialer. Which is what everyone has. And then the new "in call" screen. Which is what is all jacked up but I themed it anyway. I am going to make a CW update.zip file later tonight of just the old "in call" screen a.k.a. phone.apk. That way everyone can just choose which one they want.

icculusx - are you referring to the (for example) "stat_wifi_off" and "stat_wifi_on"? and then I am guessing the "bottom_bar565"

I'll just pull it down and use it for myself. I ported over 3 other themes for UD 1 and gave credit to everyone for the original works, ports, etc, and had no issues.

Just trying to be nice to some of the people out here waiting on themes, and personally I was tired of loading a theme and it having a red progress bar everywhere.

icculusx - just a suggestion..you try pulling the phone.apk from UD8.0 instead of the Cytown from 1.0?

I'll just pull it down and use it for myself. I ported over 3 other themes for UD 1 and gave credit to everyone for the original works, ports, etc, and had no issues.

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with trying to help! Just ask first. No big deal man. Now ya know right? Anyways, some take longer just due to the themer trying to update the new apps and such. Sometimes it's just cause the themer doesn't feel like it...lol Ya never know.

xkape - Haha so true. I wish i had screenshots of my icons tho, they look awesome. Not a big change, just got rid of the bars and made them dim or colored. You can feel free to use them and change them to red if ya want bro...

Ok man. So the theme you have linked now just has the new stock dialer or the messed up old one you were talking about? My personal favorite theme(no offence) is the black and bold theme but I heard he wasn't theming anymore so now I have to find a new favorite. And my favorite color is blue solo props for yo lol

If you stay with UD 1.0.0, the BlackNBold theme will still work fine. I have it installed on my Dinc for that very reason, so I can hold on to that masterpiece, but still move around to different roms & different themes on my D1.

Ok. I kinda like and don't like the new dialer. Just thought it might look better if someone themed it.

I themed the new dialer set up ... not a huge fan of it (several buttons are useless), but it does look better themed.

Cool, thanks for your support ...

In reading this thread I think I am gonna just continue to tweak Renovated. I didn't realize so many disliked the red. I never did like it, but wasn't sure if that was one of the things drawing people to UD. I knew this ROM had a huge following and really just tried to keep this port in line with what I was doing with other ROMs. Then again, like I said before, UD is unlike any other as it's a "themed ROM" IMO ...

So, I think after I am done working on my current project I will go back into Renovated and start editing some xml files and [UGH] .9 png files :laugh:
