Check to see how many Javas you have installed. If more than 1, remove them all and install the correct one. I had the same problem on one of my computers.

yeah, i learned alot now, thanks to everyone in the thread and to the OP, now im off to look for that clock for the lockscreen

I found it earlier tonight then had to find it again. seems like i had to change it for each type of lock screen i might use.

not sure if there was an easier way but i added textcolor attibs to each of the textview areas that i wanted to change. here it is so far.

thanx to all the earlier posts for the guidance.

Thanx, yeah I'm wanting to line up the date, alarm, and charge info stuff up near the top and either do the clock next to it or below. Im gonna look into possibly shrinking down the lock screen and eliminating the emergency call button all together.

Haven't tackled the clear bgs yet but its on my list of things to look for :)

I found them. They're in two different spots in framework. I posted them a few posts up....

I had two of the Sun Java.
Now I have one.
Still doesn't work. JRE version 6 update 21

Use I be using the microsoft vm instead of Suns?

Dunno if it matters but I am running windows 7 (64 bit)

Wow you guys where active in the wee hours of the morning. Glad to see you guys are catching on.

The update.zip is a template one. The script during installation I changed that way so it would catch your attention. You can change it by going to /META-INF/com/google/android/update-script . Open it with notepad and edit where it says ui script.

Bgill interested in the transparent screen as well. Have you been able to do the screen while on a call? Is there a way to have a background but have transparency to it (like the pulldown shade).

Do a Google search for "Java not found". You have to change your environment variables... or something like that. I had the same issue till I fixed it.

m,aybe I just don't know how to change my environment variables. I know i installed the apk manager and adb right cause I can use it to back up my apps and such. Just can't do java..

Am i missing anything to do this perhaps? Keep in mind I know nothing so I only downloaded what was in the original post. Plus I got ADB and I already had the laterst SUN JRE which I am assuming is fine for java purposes.

text for recent apps screen (when you hold down the home button) is in this xml recent_apps_dialog.xml , in framework-res/res/layout. As for the drawer text it is more then likely in your laucher. Which one do you use?
