Anyone have an idea?

are you talking about changing the font color like this??

or something else? I jumped the gun on the last question
Not the font color, but the background. I actually found it. It's in drawables "screen_background_dark" I set it to #ffffffff and it turned out white.

ok sweet! I either need to read more carefully or we need to be more specific in the questions lol!!!

ok im using clockwork recovery and i tried the update.zip that the OP posted, all i did was placed my framework-res.apk in the compressed template_update.zip file in /system/framework...renamed it and applied it but it said while it applied the update, a message" this is a templat please change it" lol not sure if i need to change the update script and binary or not.....side note,i just remembered i dont need to rename it. im going to try to find the clock color for the lookscreen, thats mainly all i want.

ok here is a update zip already for you just drop what you need to in it folder, I set it up for fonts and Boot animations as well!

if you are talking about aapt.exe and apktool.jar, I have no idea how to do that. I have all the programs I need and I extracted them all using 7zip. I then unzipped adb into the tools folder for the sdk. I have what I need but as far as setting my paths I have no idea. I just want it to open can you help me? I can mess up my phone just fine but 1st I have to be able to attempt to screw it up and I neeed to set those paths and get it to see that I have java.

yes i am a noob but i am trying to learn and suck in info as best i can.

i dont think you should have unzipped adb into your tools directory in sdk

just download the apk manager and extract it in a folder you made(make) on your desktop. in order to set your paths, google autosign for droid, its a program/script that sets the paths for you.

i guess i am just too retarded. I unzipped apk manager to an "apk manager" folder on my desktop. then i managed to d/l autosign. it still says no java. am i doing something wrong with auto sign?

for pete's sake, all i want is red text and pink text to replace the stock white text. why is this so hard

I mean, i learned how to unroot, get a rom, install a theme, do backups, etc.. why can't i figure this ot. it should be easy to make these two different color sets yet verizon or motorola had made it almost impossible for the untrained person.

I am trying to learn here so in the future i can make any color I want to but man. why am i not getting this.

OK, here is what I did. I downloaded apk and made an apk manager on my desktop and unzipped it there.
I downloaded android sdk and it is currently in c:users\jason\downloads
I downloaded autosign and I have no idea what to do with it.
I copied the framework off my droid and put it on my desktop.

Make a folder in your C drive called "android". Place the sdk in there. Then set up your path....
