Things I like and dislike thus far

Extended battery is the way to go but you will lose the Otterbox case. I get 28 to 35 hours on one charge with moderate use.

100% agree on the extended battery. I love having it, and forgetting to charge it at night is generally never a problem anymore. I've turned down my update frequency (mail's not really that critical) and get much better battery life as a result.

To stay on topic, I did the .901 update just now. Easy to get it installed with the phone at 5.5.893 and no computer connected. I'm anxious to see if my data connections stay up, they've been particularly problematic the past few days in the Seattle (Bellevue) area.

One more thing about this phone is the battery life is as bad or worse than my thunderbolt. I believe this is simply because the battery is not conditioned yet, and the fact that I tinker with it more, but my usage time according to the battery stats is similar. I am not too upset about this though I'm now used to having a charger near me at all times., so its OK.

Yeah, new batteries need to be conditioned. With the extended battery, .901 and Juice Defender (don't know if it's needed) after 12 hours I'm at 68% so I'm not worried about battery life.

I'm with you I don't need an extended battery and I figured this one would need conditioned, but I don't use juice defender just because I had a lot of connectivity issues and couldn't even listen to Pandora or download large files which I do both often.

Conditioning is the main thing, but the extended battery is very nice to have. I normally don't have connectivity problems, but I turn Juice Defender off when I'm doing something large with a download. Maybe I don't even need it as it didn't seem to do any good with my OG Droid, but I'm giving it a chance.

Its one of those apps that I've heard a lot of good and a lot of bad about. It definitely saves some battery, but comes with its problems. I think even after only 2 full charges my battery is getting conditioned because with heavy usage it lasted me over 8 hours and was still at 30 some %. Overall now that I'm working out the kinks and getting used to it I'm very satisfied with this phone. Adjusting to blur is the only thing I'm still struggling with

The mugen extended battery is slim enough for you to use with the original back cover of your bionic! I finally received mine via Amazon.com.
