Thinking of going to Best Buy and plunkin down $599.

I came from a rooted Droid 1 and had initial reservations about not waiting for dual core. Now that I have the tb with root I have zero regrets. I also did a one year contract which will be perfect timing for when dual/quad core come into their own.

I got the same plan ($9.99 per line on all 5 lines in the family plan). How it works is they charge me $29.99 per line for unlimited data but then get a $20 discount per line. It was called Talk Text and Data. As long as I maintain unlimited data on all lines, I keep the discount.

:icon_ bananaancing banana says do it now. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain imo. Don't worry about the bionic (locked boot loader etc etc) my stock TB ran just as smoothly as my friends atrix for browsing, mutli tasking. Dual core is seriously overrated until android decides to finally add better HW accel, that and optimize the OS for more than 1 core, If that were to happen tomorrow or in the next few weeks/months I doubt we'd see super huge differences.

That's because that promo ended on Jan 31st. They can't add it to anyone's plan unless it got taken off accidentally. Luckily, I already have it, too.

Yep. When I got my Thunderbolt, handed down my Droid 1 to my son and needed to have them add the promo back onto his line. The other two kids started complaining that their brother has a Droid and they're still stuck on Blackberrys. Given that the inactive promo might not be able to be added back in the future, decided to pick up a couple of used Incredibles for the other two. Still waiting for them to process the request to add it back.

Called Friday to get the $20 data discount put back onto the Incredible that I activated on Thursday, still haven't showed up yet. If it still isn't on the account by Monday, then I will call on Tuesday since I will need to get it put back on the line I am switching on Monday.

I was looking on Craigslist Friday and found them to be a bit pricey. $200-$300 range. But I was happy to see my OG Moto Droids holding their value.

I have 2 I need to find a home for.

I had a new Incredible for a week before my TB arrived. Wife took it and is very happy with it. That is one great little phone.
