Those with the official ota need some feedback

just a question for those that are getting the random reboots.. Do you also have the leaked modded my verizon app installed? I had it and just for kicks uninstalled the app and haven't had a single reboot since.. I read on XDA that the person who modded the app was contacted by a verizon developer saying that the app caused "undesired affects" those affects were never clarified but i wonder if that could be causing reboots just an idea?

here is the XDA post about it

Yup, pretty much. The issue is going to be if there were any minor changes in the firmware that would affect the codes you enter when you root. If unroot and take the OTA then want to reroot, you may have to wait until the developers double check the root process to make sure it is all the same. Personally if you are rooted I would not take the OTA, just wait. If there are ANY changes from the leaked version the developers will be all over it and give us the updates in their roms.

I've got the random reboot syndrome after the update too. My Bolt has never been rooted. It's rebooting about once an hour. NOT GOOD VERIZON/HTC!!

Houston THUNDERBOLT!!

I am not seeing any reboots, but the thing is eating my battery for lunch. On 3G, its draining at a rate of 20% an hour! Thats ridiculously bad. I thought this was supposed to IMPROVE battery life, not send it into a tailspin!

Ye I'll wait and see what developers do. Phone works good for now.

Android has the best developers. That's why I stick around android mostly.

Reboot....sometimes after downloading things my phone eats the battery alive so I reboot and problem goes away. Make sure nothing is running on background.

Once I had a game running and my extended battery was losing battery really fast. I didn't realize until I shut it off.

No problems after the ota update at all... No reboots or any battery issues what so ever...btw Im in a 3g area when out and about but on wifi at home.

Re: reboots-> my TB just updated. On the power up, a window popped up that there will be re-boots with the updates. Perhaps your re-boots are because of some piecemeal auto-updating?
I'm going to see what changes I can notice, but I'd appreciate someone pointing me to a list if any exists! I see that someone posted battery improvement(but no details), gps lock in improvement(I never had any problems with that), and speaker volume improvement.

After I power cycled by taking the battery out it stopped rebooting every hour. Also, I do not have the leaked vz app installed. However, I noticed (I know it seems kind of odd), that after I installed and used the Lte on off app my texts all deleted multiple times. I hope I don't get more reboots ...

Before the update...my phone had great battery life, no reboot's, everything else was sub-par ok. After the update...I've had one reboot, battery life is a tad worse, and phone seems a little sluggish at times. Flipping screens, you notice icons refreshing. Never use to do this.

So I've had three "reboots" since the update...I say "reboots" because my phone turns off and not back on....this update sucks period.

If you all have problems I would call verizon. When I called the tech said that there were no complaints about random rebooted with the new firmware.
