Thoughts on the S10 Series

View attachment 78550 Okay, feeling a little "stoopid" here. I just got my S10+ this afternoon. I have had fun playing with it and it's pretty easy to figure out. I have, however, run into one thing I cannot figure out and it's driving me nuts. In Settings. The fonts are coloured wrong and I can't see all of the labels. I have no idea where to adjust it. It looks like your themes got crossed somehow. I would go into your themes, reset it to stock, and then pick the theme you want over again.

I figured out my notification issue with the lighting. You have to have it enabled within the app itself.

Also, Spotify fixed the Lock screen issues.

Thanks so much, that worked. It was an older Samsung theme and I guess it didn't make the transition. Found another one and it works. I really do not like the way that the Wallpaper is managed now.

Is anyone else have trouble getting the Edge lights to work? I've identified 6 apps and none of the notifications trigger the lights

I had that problem with Pulse Sms. First go into the edge lighting settings and select all available apps, or the specific apps you want to use. Them go into the settings of that app, and make sure the app has the correct notification settings ( Below is a screenshot of Pulse, I had to enable the wake screen feature).

Something cool about themes. The stock themes (first screenshot) are compatible with night mode. I'm using the blue theme (2nd screenshot), in combination with night mode (3, 4, &5).

Themes that are 3rd party devs most likely will not work with night mode...

Also, if you drag the home button to the right, it will open recents, and you can slide better recents with your thumb (found on Reddit).

I've been using nothing but gestures...but I believe edge lighting doesn't work ..I don't use lighting but those that do use it might be issue ..I love the gestures so used to them ..along with one handed plus all I need ..

Good to know thanks. I'm kind of torn. I love my nav bars. Always have. I feel that it is a cool unique feature of Android that I enjoy. That said, I tried out gestures the other day, and found that I kind of liked it. Maybe I'll use both lol.
