Yes it works on lcd and but best on plasma.
For tube tv substitute what ever your drinking for vodka and pour some on the tv first.
Then hook up the high voltage power line.
Your tv should now be rooted if not take it back to the store and ask for an exchange if they ask what happened tell them your tv spontaneously burst into flames.
